RE: Farewell

Congrats on your full retirement, hope you enjoy the warm weather that FL has to offer. As for me I have a few more years to go before retirement, but I have been doing it for a while now and hope when the time comes for me to say good bye to RVing I had accomplished everything I wanted to do. So enjoy it my friend....:)

RE: I Need to Vent!!!

In my opinion first mistake was by you taking it home the same day you bought the MH. If you would of waited for everything to be fixed, I think your experience would of have been a lot different. MAYBE? Like someone else said earlier find your self another dealer that will treat you with respect and honesty, and not give you the run around. Only my opinion.:M

RE: water in the basement

Sounds more reasonable unless your roof is leaking. Check the gaskets on the bay doors....maybe rain got in from road spray from you or others I did what fulltime 55 suggested which it was to wait till night time and turn on the bay lights boy what a surprise this gaps are big!! Now the question do it do this my self or let the pros take care of this issue. Once again thank you all specially Fulltme55:B Kennedy>>>

Campgrounds

Hello there- Let me start by saying that I don not, and I repeat I do not have anything against kids. I am a proud grand father of five grand kids, from the one and only daughter. Now to get to the question, my wife and I like to go to campgrounds that are more for adults so far we been lucky. We need to get away from all the noise and chaos that goes on on some of this CG. So our next trip will be some where in the state of indiana south west. Can some one out there tell me or give me a name for a CG that has peace and quiet? and maybe not so may kids and loud neighbors.;) Thank you all-

RE: Buying First Motorhome - Help Please

Hello, I am going to be retiring this November, and we are going to purchase a used motorhome to do some traveling in. We live in Indiana, and our son and grandkids live in Oklahoma. We plan to take a few trips a year to see them, and also a few others to whereever might strike us. I'll be using some of my retirement funds to purchase our motorhome. I'd like to keep the purchase price at $20,000 or less, so that we'll have the funds for insurance and travel expenses. I'd appreciate any help/ opinions on what you think might be a good choice in a class a motorhome in that price range. I understand that it will be an older one for that price, but I'm not willing to get a loan to finance it. I want to just be able to pay for it without a loan on it. Thank you in advance for your help. David and SusanDavid, We just got ours on feb of this year, with that said to tell you the truth if you don't have the funds a class A can be a money pit. I just bought 4 new tires for it before our first trip to FL, now I am dealing with a small water leak that I have no idea where is coming from I may have to take it to one of those places where they conduct a leak test, which may cost a $100.00 or more if I have them fix it the right way. Don't get me wrong we love our class A I would not do with out it. Ours is a 2005 and we paid $45,500 out the door ,its very clean, and 1 one owner. I wish you luck to you and Susan. Remember take your time I think I rushed into it too soon, and did NOT take my time shopping around. Because we fell in love the first time we laid eyes on it. Good luck on your search. Kennedy, and Lisa:W

RE: Extended Service Plan

My extended service plan that I bought with my new MH in 2009 expires in two months, It is thru Interstate National Dealers Services, I have never used it yet but you never know. I been looking at the Good Sams Extended Service Plan. I not sure if I should get another one or not. I see post on here about problems with getting repairs and other post that repairs went great. Looking for any pro or cons on the service plan. I don't mind spending the money to get it but don't want the problems with getting repairs done. Any help would be great. I also have the roadside service plan but never had to use that yet either thank god. Thanks for any help. Put the money to the side, and when you need it to fix your RV you will have it . With out having to give someone else your hard earn money:B

RE: Black Water holding tank

Need help finding a black water holding tank. I have a 2000 Jayco Eagle 266 and the previous owners busted the tank so there isnt one there at all. I called travel trailers sales and service that are located close to home. They gave me some specs that aren't making much sense to me. Every site I have been on don't have any tanks close to the size...26x62x10...any suggestions??? Have you call Ricks RV in Joliet? They may be able to help you with your search..
