RE: Trilogy

MSRP at A local dealer is 103,000. she has sold 1 and has another ready. I know what she sells at but wont fenture A guess at what OP might get A deal at where he is dealing. My 2013 Cedar Creek 38FL was Msrp of 87,000 and I paid no where near that.

RE: Trilogy

The trilogy is A nice looking 5er. Local dealer has sold 1 and another is on her lot already. As far as the fridge. What does it have for A battery Bank? Our 2013 Cedar Creek has A 18 Cubic foot Residential fridge and we have no problems running it when traveling, Have mad 2 trips over 6 hour tow time. and we boondock A lot, We have had 0 problems with the fridge doing its job. This past weekend we had temps down to 31 degrees. Heater running 26" 12 volt tv used in bedroom and 42" tv used in living room on its own inverter. no problems But we have 4 6 volt batteries on board standard from Cedar Creek. The other situation with the Trilogy is weight, I am far from A weight Police but you will need A hefty truck to pull that baby! With the weight that we are at I am in the market for A MDT, I am currently pulling the Creek with A GMC 3500 Dually and it does fine. But we are looking to be on the road for about 6 months A year in the near future so we are now looking at MTD s

RE: What Size Truck?

If you have decided to go with A 5er then I would say dont short change your possibilities. Go with A dually, Once you really start your 5er search you may find that your new 5er becomes something longer than A 35 footer. Maybe not but like I say dont short yourself on the TV. In the end run do your homework and buy what you feel fits your needs the best. Good luck on your searching.

RE: In the shop....

I tend to fix the piddly stuff myself also. But the Camper will go back to the Dealer after our Thanksgiving trip for A new Countertop which was cracked the day we picked it up new. Couldnt let that ruin A good camping season. then we winterize her and park it til Feb,

RE: If it's getting cold...Check tire presure.

Getting ready to leave for A trip tomorrow. Checked pressures all at 100 lbs PSI. just like I parked it 3 weeks ago. only had to adjust 1 tire since getting this unit in May that was due to A loose nut on the valve stem. This is our first unit with nitrogen filled tires, Seems like it works.

RE: ON THE ROAD WITH THE GENERATOR ON?

When we are traveling in real hot weather we will run the Gen in the 5er so that when we arrive at cg we are ready to go. The 5er is nice and cool and the AC's dont have to work as hard to cool it down. Its really nice after A long tow to setup and be able to relax in A cool unit. Never had an issue with running it.

RE: Wireless Backup Cam from Tadi Brothers

I have installed many backup cams for friends and others. had issues with 3, 2 wireless and one bought cheap off E-Bay. If someone wants me to install 1 for them I tell them to buy from www.rvcams.com if they want something else they need to install it. They have good prices and great service if needed.

RE: Fiver Journey Begins

We bought A 2013 Cedar Creek 38FL in May and have not looked back one bit. Looked at most all FL plans out there it came down to the Cedar Creek and the Crossroads Rushmore. Being that wehave had other Cedar Creeks thats what made the decision. If you have questions PM Me . Plus I can put you in touch with A dealer that will put you in A 38FL for probably less then you can do at the show. They have 2 in stock.

RE: 5er cover (Expedition RV covers) ??

Thanks for the replies Guys. I guess it will be A good coat of wax when we put the 5er away for the winter. We use it till Thanksgiving, then start rolling again in Feb. No need in taking A chance with damage. Guess these cover companies need to get in tune with the fact that there are 5ers longer than 40' Nice looking Creek Train!!! Happy Travels!!!

5er cover (Expedition RV covers) ??

I have pretty much decided to buy A cover for our 5er this. After some researching I am leaning towards A cover made by Expedition Covers. Question is if anyone has or had 1 is there much stretch to them? The company says they will stretch approx. 1 foot. Situation I have is the 5er is 41'10 502" The lonest one they have is 41' Wondering if it will fit.

RE: Mounting a camera on the back of the camper help

Well Being that you now know where to get A camera system, From the posts that I see I'll try to answer your question. Yes mount your camera high and center on the back of the coach. Drill A 3/8" hole right above the point where your bracket will mount. Run an elictrical fish tape thru that hole and work it on down the rear cap. It will exit the cap and then hook the cable to it and pull the fish back thru the hole. connect the camera and securely tape together the connection the mount your camera to bracket. Run cable up the frame to the front storage are, the drill another hole in storrage area so you can bring the cable up thru the storage are. Now use your fish tape again, run it thru the pin box hole into storage area, hook cable to it and pull it through. Now attach the cable to your power cord with zip ties and there you are ready to connect when you hookup the truck. I have installed many of theses on units in our club and can tell you I had problems with only 2 of them. Yes they were the junk from E-Bay. My cousin is sitting with one he bought from E-Bay and guess what the seeler is no longer on there. So he saved about 75.00 but know has to buy another one from a reputable dealer. Well at least he saved 75.00 the first time. Good luck and Happy Camping PM Me if you need A recomendation where to buy A camera from

RE: Cedar Creek 5th wheel - 2 questions - so far

We looked at the RD5ts. Felt it would be crowded for us with the den setup in the back. But that why there is different flavor Ice Creams. The 36RE wasnt even on our list as they are everywhere and felt before going there we would just keep our 08 CC 36RLTS. then low and behold there sits the Cedar Creek 38FL. well we had actually decided to move to A Heartland, Before the DW went into the FL. Weight could be an issue as you know. But if you are traveling flatland and semi local its A different situation. Just remember you will get to the point that you want to take an extended trip. S o A different TV may be in your future. Just dont get caught in the trap of buying something that you will not be happy with. On A side note, Lots of people will swear up an down if its A 5er you have to have A Dually. Well believe me there are lots of very overloaded CC's running the highways behind A 3/4 ton truck, not to mention all other brands. I just mention CC's because this is the question of the thread. Plus I went to one CCRVOC rally and saw for myself how overloaded some can be. Then again I was permanantly banned from that club. They gave A reason but we know the real reason. Hes in my signature. Sorry for the rant at the end. But Buy what you like enjoy it and enjoy the time you can spend in it. Happy Camping!!!!

RE: Which end for the bed?

We looked for A while at the front living room 5ers and finally settled on A Cedar Creek Front living room. I'm 6'3" tall and have no problem with head room. The hall is on one side of the unit with A nice big Bath on the other. Man its nice taking A shower and still having 3 feet of head room. Plus it has A door in the back that enters right to the bathroom. cuts back big time on traffic thru the camper. and what can I say about the residential fridge. 100 degrees outside and the fridge is just as cold as at home. no more chasing warm temps in the fridge because it cant keep up with the heat outside like the standard RV fridges. Happy hunting and enjoy what you get.
