RE: Registering a new 5er Purchase Made Out of State (CA)

x2 on Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls SD for your permanent address. 3% excise tax instead of 9+% sales tax in CA. You don't need to go there to establish residency or to register your vehicles. You will also get a sweet surprise from your insurance company when you give him/her your new address and your registration fees.

Heater cycles

After 2 plus years my heater has started cycling through a restart every few minutes when its cold out. Above around 45 deg Outside temp it runs fine. I have split tanks, 1 on ea side but I have gone through the pressuring routine a few times.
I'm thinking regulator so I have one of a different brand but RV approved to replace my Fairview(bad reviews) But as I haven't done it yet I thought I check with you all about any thoughts.

RE: What the space heater of choice for 5ers

I get along fine with my built in electric fireplace, seems like that is it's purpose.

Stability on the interstate

I have a 35 ft 5th wheel towed by a 3/4 ton Ram as in my sig. I find it to be very stable in windy conditions. Never pushed into another lane, when a big rig passes I barely fell it.
I think about moving to a class A when I get older and less physically capable but I here from owners about being pushed all over the road in crosswind conditions. I know that I may be hearing from people with rigs that need attention but nice looking rigs.
My question is: How stable and easy to drive is a 40 ft DP with air suspension in say a 30mph crosswind. My current rig handles this well.
Thanks for any reply's

personal liability Insurance

I want the same type of coverage that is attached to a homeowners policy but attached to my RV policy. My Insu. co. does not provide this. Does anyone have this with their policy or as a stand alone?
Thanks, Bob

First tow with Trailersaver BD3

Hauled from Galveston Bay area to a park on I-10 in Katy. Only about 75 mi but thru Houston area, all cement slabs, overpasses, and expansion joints. The hitch was truly great at eliminating bounce. The truck would hit a good one and I would look in the mirror and watch the hitch absorb the trailer bounce. Hit one that slammed the truck and would have thrown things around in the 5th, but that hitch just absorbed its bite. As others on the forum have said, "A Trailersaver hitch and a Moreryde pinbox rocks"
