RE: Whats your favorite adult beverage??

I'm rather partial to my Margaritaville blender these days! Also wine or rum

RE: Tablet for mapping and geocaching

We do things a little different but are also geocachers. We have a built in Nav system that you unfortunately can't load co-ords so that is for travel and the caches go onto our Etrex Vista, we create the query on the lap top. We also load the query onto our caching app on our iphone. If we are in Canada I pretty much just use my phone for caching, it's a really slick App. If we are out of the country and don't want to incur horrendous roaming charges we download the query for "off line use" that way you still have the cache description and hints. I realize this doesn't help with the original dilemma but it's just another way. Good luck

RE: What's Your Overall Length?

45 feet total and well aware of this fact every time we take the ferry home to Vancouver Island. They charge by the foot.:( We are 50', no problem finding a site but pay over $500 round trip to get back to our " rock!"

RE: Anyone towing a 30U Arctic Fox?

We had the truck you are referring to, we have the 27T (little bro of the 30U) our 2500HD pulled with no problem. It was sluggy on the big hills. My husband didn't like seeing all the diesels pass him so we now have what's in our sig!

RE: We finally made a purchase!!

It's a Northwood, of course it's good!! You can also call the factory and they'll give the information that you require, Dave Mann in the service department is excellent to deal with. Have fun with the new TT, you'll love it

RE: Canadian Satellite options for RV.

When we are at a campsite without cable we just use the built in digital tuner on our tv, it runs a scan and we get the local stations

RE: Evergreen Tree Sap

Rubbing alcohol works great, also works wonders getting the pitch out of clothing

RE: A good small high quality 5th wheel for full timing

Have them Check Northwood RV web site. They make Arctic Fox trailers that are typically very nice. I'll second this

RE: Tossing Tacky Decor in TT

So glad to read this post! I've wondered if I was the only one who couldn't stand the interior upholstery, wall coverings, etc. in just about every trailer I have seen. Question: Is it possible to just paint over those hideous wallpaper borders? Also, would appreciate DIY details about covering dinette cushions, and any other suggestions about classing up a trailer. Check your wall paper border, mine is just peel and stick. You will see lines if you just paint over it, I would think. The fellow with the pink curtains, that's a really easy fix, quick trip to Fabricland and you'd have that solved. I had better be careful, he's from the same city as me, he'll be knocking on my door with the fabric ;)

RE: Crystal Cove Beach Resort

We drove around Crystal Cove on our last trip out to Tofino, although its a beautiful place the sites are really small.

RE: What astronomy app would you suggest?

We use sky view, I think I may have paid for the upgrade. (I've had it for a while now)

RE: He wants/She wants

We knew what floor plan we wanted and what manufacturer so it was easy. I saw it online and sent an email to my husband. He made the deal on it sight unseen! So the next year when he wanted the new truck I didn't say a word! As for the oven, I wouldn't have an RV without it. I've never baked a cake in it but we use it just about every trip

RE: Buying a Telus SIM card/service for iPad

That happened to a friend of ours, I think they went and got a pre paid cc at 7/11 and used that. Doesn't help with the address but it worked with the cc

RE: Arctic/Polar/Cold weather packages.

As others have said depends on what comes in the package. We have a true 4 season coach, the extras on ours is double pane windows, and tank heaters. We also have an enclosed under belly but that's standard on Arctic Foxes.

RE: Out of RV Loop For Awhile - Need Mfg. Recommendations

We are still loving our Northwood Arctic Fox, not sure if you have any dealers carrying these down your way. They are extremely well built but heavy, would highly recommend.

RE: Crossroads Zinger ZT31SB or ZT33BH... any opinions?

I've never seen either, just looking at the website. I think the 31 seems homier because it's not as open as the 33. The 33 has a lot of empty floor space. You'll just have to go with what ever feels right.
