RE: golf cart.

Here is a good golf cart to consider.
http://www.ricksesv.com/
Look at this site. They make a variety of small carts. From 1 person to four people size. They will fit in your truck or could go on a rack on back of a MH with no problem. They are relatively inexpensive.
I have owned two of them and have one now in addition to my full sized cart. I originally bought one because we live on a lake and have a very long dock. It would fit on the dock and allowed us to take stuff out to our boat.
Good luck.

RE: Cowboy Coffee

An old camping trick. Put a green twig across the top of the pot. That will keep it from boiling over. Years ago we used to do a lot of primitive camping and multi-day canoe trips. In those days we used the cheapest and largest cans of coffee we could find, but it always tasted good on a frosty morning. We also used to put a dash of salt in the pot to make it taste better.

RE: Whats the strongest Velcro?

Try the heavy duty Velcro from this company.
http://coilnwrap.com/
It is very strong and will withstand the heat in a closed RV.
They also have other great RV products.
I have been using their stuff for years.

RE: Need breakfast ideas for group

You can make great fresh donuts with just refrigerated biscuits. Take a biscuit from container punch hole in the middle, then stretch a little into a ring. Drop into skillet of hot oil, cook on one side then flip over. When done drain on paper towels for a few seconds. Then have bowls of toppings available to coat donuts. Toppings can include sugar, powdered sugar, cinnamon & Sugar, canned cake icings, etc.. You can reheat in microwave later.

RE: boston in the fall

Lived a couple of miles from Minuteman campground for 20 years. Have stayed there twice since we retired, great place. Be sure to drive through / around in Town of Harvard. We lived there for 20 years, really nice small New England town.

RE: Running light fuse keeps blowing?

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Flair. I had a similar problem a few years ago. Turned out to be caused by a wire rubbing against a metal support. The location was up front just inside the access door. As I recall it was a single wire or small bundle that ran over a metal brace between front fiberglass body of MH and the plywood around engine compartment. It was just sort of laying across the metal brace. Had to lift wire off brace to even see wear on insulation. Good luck!

RE: motion control switch?

An alternative would be to snake wiring down thru wall and mount a switch down lower. Or use some wood trim to hide wires on surface of wall.

RE: FYI: Electrical Protectorant and Lube

CorrosionX is specifically used to protect electrical connections. It was originally developed for electrical connections in aircraft. It comes in several viscosities.
Great stuff, I have used it for several years now on all types of connectors on RV's, boats and ham radio electronics.

RE: Can you determine State Of Charge just from Voltage

Yes, you can. You need a "State of charge table". Do a Google on "State of charge table" and you will find all sorts for different batteries. I use one for my 48V golf cart, works very well.

RE: Why are Goldens prone to illness?

A few years ago we gave up on pure breeds.
We bought a MultPoo. They live longer with fewer problems.
There are cross-breeds using Goldens like the GoldenDoodle.
These are crosses between a Golden and a Poodle.
I am sure there are other breeds involving a Golden.

RE: Can I afford a battery like this?

LiPo batteries showed up in the radio controlled model airplane field. They do have advantages like various voltages, light weigth, high capaciry, etc.
However, they have some downside also. They are relatively costly. They require special chargers and charging. If not taken care of properly, they can catch fire and even blow up. It is recommended they be kept and charged in a metal container to prevent possible problems.

RE: Trade-In has not been paid off

I do not think anyone said it, but you need a lawyer right now.
It may cost a little, but will save you a lot of grief and possibly a lot of money.
No, I am not a lawyer and try to avoid them unless they are on my side.

RE: AMATEUR RADIO NETS IN RVING

Not directly RV, but I try to check into ECARS 7.255 or SCARS 7.251 These nets were originally oriented to helping mobiles back before cell phones. I will be interested if you get any directly RV net responses.

RE: Clear coat repair

lanerd
Yes white rubbing compound is used to polish a painted finish.
You should be able to get it at any auto parts store.
Dampen a folded piece of towel and rub it on like you would a good paste wax.
Wipe off with a clean towel, then wash with water and let dry,
A light hze may form, just wipe it off with another clean towel.
Good luck,
John

RE: Small antenna In window.

It is probably not a ham or cb antenna unless it has been cut-off or broken off. 8" is too short for either. Sounds like it was perhaps a radio antenna, but more likely may have been antenna for older cell phone like a "bag phone"..
