RE: heading to Florida

Lake Louisa State Park is in Clermont, Fl which is quite close to Orlando area. I have stayed there many times when going to the theme parks. the State Parks in Florida have a 14 day limit though so if you are planning to stay longer you will have to get another place for the additional time. you better book now though if you can even get a reservation in for December.

RE: How many miles have you towed in one day?

I like to drive 3 hours max in a day. Stop by three or 4 pm so I can get settled slowly before dinner hour. But I am never in a hurry to get anywhere. I enjoy the trip as much as the destinations.

RE: Traveling with things on counter

When traveling in our DP we put stuff away. If we have to brake suddenly or to keep from being in an accident we don't want something behind us to be a missile coming forward and hitting us in the head.

RE: Temporary exhaust patch

Ihad a small crack on mine near the exhaust end and used high temp JB weld after I sanded it some and drilled a stop hole on each side of the crack. . Held up well. Not sure about a hole though.

RE: Onan 7500 watt maintenance coachman cross country

I had the 1000 hour service done on my coach in January 2017 at Cummins Ocala, Fl. They had to completely remove my generator from the coach to accomplish this service as it is not on a slideout tray. The outer covers had to come off to do this service. Also for a heads up the generator was performing fine when I took it in. After removing all the outer panels the tech found a 50 cent piece of chunks of magnetic metal from the inside. After inspecting the stator and rotor assembly the pieces were determined to have come off the stator. He said they had an issue with this on some 2001-2004 Onan 7500 generators that the glue they used had caused the magnets to release. They had to replace the stator and rotor which were almost $1800 for the 2 parts. Total bill was $2800 after all was finished. $1000 for the 1000 hour service. I have heard of people removing them themselves by putting the rear of the coach on ramps to get it up higher and use a floor jack under the generator to lower it down, not something I was prepared to do. Good luck!

RE: Dish TV info request

I have a tailgater satellite by dish and a vip211z receiver. It has worked fine for me for the last 5 years. King Controls makes these satellites as well as the one branded King. The first one I bought had a tracking issue and had to be replaced by King under warranty.

I just got a Garmin drive 61, but haven't used it yet. Seems like it will be fine. My old one is a 2006.

RE: new rv

If the original frig was bad, itwould be covered on the warranty. If they needed a new frig then they could get one quickly for you. In person visit as suggested above may be the only way to really know what they are doing or not doing to resolve the issue and get your camper back to you!

RE: Motion sensor lights, what is everyone using?

I have one starlight 1000 at my DP entrance. But it has adjustments for sensitivity and you can set it how you want. We just use it at campgrounds that have no lighting and are pitch black. We don't want to step out onto a snake or critter by the door.

RE: Not Such Great service!!!

Another question is, do they make any exception at all if you are full time as far as waiting three weeks or getting in the next day? or you just suck it up and pay out of pocket for the quicker repair facility?

RE: Poop water is everywhere

That's as bad as the guy at the dump station dumping his black tank wearing no shoes, and using no hose. He just opens it up and its splashing everywhere. I decided to go to the office and let them know what he was doing. I drove back and got in line again. Here comes the manager with his hands in the air.
