RE: Who is the first?

Well, I don't worry about winterizing as I am in Central Florida on the West Coast! It may get dow in the teens a few times, but it doesn't last long enough to cause any issues. I keep the fresh water tank empty and thats about it.

RE: How Many RV'ers are also Nautical Buffs Too?

We had a 30' bayliner Ciera Sunbridge when we had our Fourwinds Class "C". Kept them both for a couple of years...then decided to travel more and sold the boat!

RE: Advice please

Look at all the expensive replacement items, IE: refrigerator working on propane ,electric.....tire dates and condition.......roof a/c working....does he have any maintenance logs to check out? Water Heater type and functioning? roof condition and check everywhere for water damage(in cabinets) by windows, windshield area....etc. leveling system if there is one(working?)

RE: Working on something ALL THE TIME

We lived on a boat for a couple of years and something always went wrong with it when we went somewhere. Not really different with a MH except it seems easier and faster to get mobile service if you need it.This summer we made a 3000 mile trip across the US. Everything was fine until we pulled in to a State Park in Illinois. Fiest park we didint have a water hookup.....then I found out the fresh water pump was dead....bathhouse close so it worked till the next am.....nice place so we stayed an extra day and I replaced the pump....we find ways to concur issues and don't stress anymore....had plenty of years where we did that!

RE: What RV Parks might consider..

Yah I see your point re the use of AC. We are OK up to about 90 degrees but then we are also looking for air conditioning. Wow, I cant stay with no a/c till 90.....spoiled I guess!

RE: Norcold issue once again

Doug, Last year the recall box light came on steady, and they checked the frig out and just the box was bad. Now the box light is on again steady, sorry fore the wrong info before..... shop replaced the box and thought that was all it was, then issues with it getting red light on again, now say the control board is the problem? Who knows!

Norcold issue once again

Well, here we go again! Norcold 1200LRIM frig on the blink again. Cooling unit replaced in February 2011. Recall box installed at that time. Recall overheat sensor failed summer of 2013 and replaced under warranty with Norcold revision "E"! Now I have mh in shop for blinking light on frig again, they changed the overheat temp sensor and running frig today, said it is working correctly. Called later today and said failed, think control board is bad, troubleshooting it tomorrow. When is enough enough...and just put a residential one in...already out $2000 for the cooling unit 2 1/2 years ago now.....?

RE: Kitchen Drain Hose/Slide out

I also got a flexible hose at lowes and replaced the split one I had found. Not an easy job, lot of it you cant see what you are doing. By the time you get twisted to do anything you can't see it. hardest part was getting the clamps tightened. I made sure it was routed a nd enough slack for the slide movement in and out.
