Roberts RV resort is not to bad a place. Lots of regulars that live there all the time but a lot of rental sites are available too. RobertsRV.com

Camping World needs to be organized more like the Military!

I think that Camping World needs to have a traveling organizer to get their service centers up to speed: 1).Set up to inspect the RV as soon as its brought in....ordering parts needed for repairs ahead of time(helping with the sitting of RV's for months) 2). Give a reasonable time frame for repairs, based on parts ordered and repairs that may take more time for diagnosis. 3). Make sure the Service managers are in contact with customers about repairs and issues in a timely manner. 4). Don't ignore emails and messages about repairs. 5). Let customers know upfront if you are unable to do any of the repairs requested( don't have the equipment, can't get the parts needed, (a job for a specialized repair shop)

RE: Poor service Camping World Chatanooga

CW dropping the ball, seems like a daily occurrence somewhere. I would think that they would check the issues and order parts right away, especially if they know its gonna sit for weeks till they get to it. At least when they do pull it in they have the parts on hand. But they let them sit for three weeks, pull it in to shop and say, oh we have to order parts, it's gonna be weeks before we get them!

RE: Monaco purchase advise please

I think price is a bit high....$25,000 more like a good selling price. if it has a propane gen I would pass, but that's my opinion. 275 hp on the low side for hp, but it will get you anywhere you want to go.....mountains it will climb slow, mines 330 hp and is a tad slow up the inclines. One slide is ok, two better. Doesn't take long to get loaded with a lot of weight aboard!

RE: What would you offer for this RV?

RE: onan 5.5 Marquis hard starting

sometimes a fuel line will get a small pinhole. That itself can cause a starting and running issue.

RE: Is 330 HP enough for a 37-40' DP

I've got a CAT 3126B in my Beaver 40' and have 40,000 miles on it now. Only thing I have done is change one sensor that was leaking a little oil. CAT makes tough engines, or heavy equipment wouldn't be using them.

RE: New to RV,when traveling how do you know what areas to avoid

I camped at a State Park just North of Memphis while in the area for a family situation. One night while driving home from the Elvis Presley Trauma Hospital downtown we ended up in a bad area of town at 11pm.I was low on gas, my error and didn't know where we were at. An officer pulled me over just a short ways from the park as he saw my out of state plate. Thank goodness he stopped me, as we were getting nervous. He told us to follow him and he would get us to the campground entrance safely!

RE: Input on Doc's RV Park & Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park

I totally agree with Bob above. I have a home only a 30 minute drive from Rock Crusher RV Park. My sis in law lives across the street from there. I is a nicely shaded park with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Close to everything you would require. The weather in winter months is good, some colder days but warms back up quickly!

RE: Dicor sealant question

As long as the roof is very clean I don't see an issue. I did mine two years ago the same way. I reapplied one coat two months ago after washing the roof and getting what stains I could off. Applied one coat more and it is looking great after two months.

CAT 3126B fan replacement

I have a 2001 3126B Cat diesel in my 2001 Beaver Coach. During some maintenance at a local CAT dealer the mechanic found a large chunk of a fan blade broken off. They have not been able to locate a used fan, but have found a few places that build them to specs. Does anyone know where to look for these fans?

RE: Private sale - What to look for / inspect

If it's been sitting three years, I would be very concerned about the tires.

RE: Think we are done for season

We traveled to the HWH factory in Moscow, Iowa in July of 2014. They removed the hydraulic leveling system in our coach and replaced it with an air leveling system. I had issues with leaking jacks and they were obsolete. Stayed one night with electric outside of shop. The next day pulled onto a lift two stories up, hooked up to 50 amp, ran a/c, had tv signal...stayed in coach for three nights. We watched the night shift work in shop, had access to showers in plant. During the day did some sightseeing. Worked out great!
