RE: Disney! be careful!!!

Disney does have signs along the beach areas that say "No swimming" but I have never seen a gator sign there. I is a terrible tragic accident that will haunt this family forever. The parents should not have been down by the water, day or night. The water along the shoreline there is very yucky and I would never allow my kids near it. Is Disney at fault? Are the parents at fault? This little 2 year old boy died a tragic and unimaginable death and it is a shame.

RE: Oil filled front hubs

If you have oil just below the rubber plug you are full. I have two lines on mine that show minimum and full.

RE: how many leave their coach outside vs inside ?

Mine has sat outside for four years. I redo the roof every couple and keep an eye on seams. Not relay my choice but going full time in two more years so can't see spending the money on a pole barn or enclosed garage!

RE: Which Trojan?

I just replaced my four house batteries with the T 105's. Not really sure the difference from them to the RE and plus. They really needed to be replaced though due to excessive water usage, bulging by the terminals, and constantly very hot cases.

RE: Camping world Salesmen ??

During my days as a dealership rv tech, I'd see our sales staff sitting at a picnic table in the shade with a cigarette or candy bar in one hand, Coke or coffee in the other. All freakin' day. I suspect this is why they weren't available to take calls or answer emails. They sat there waiting for easy prey to walk by. In my younger days I loved to drive in a car lot just to see the outside sales people jump up and get ready to spring into action. Then I laughed as I circled the dealership and left! True story.

RE: Tell Me I am Crazy... Or Not...

We've had our place for 15 years and still have no equity in it. We are going to go full time in 2018 when our Sophomore son graduates from high school. Hopefully we will be able to sell it and move on. If not we will close it up and go anyway........

Sorry to hear of all your flooding issues. It seems like the rain there is never going to stop. Good luck settling in to your new home.

RE: Good place(s) to order a refrigerator

I have purchased many things from PPL and have had no issues at all. But I haven't purchased any larger more expensive items like what you are asking about.

RE: Chiefland, FL or Old Town, FL recommendation?

In that area wifi is a tough one. Manatee Springs State Park is nice but only wifi is at the small bbq restaurant on site. Not sure if they have pull thru sites but check on Reserve America.

RE: HOME EARLY

I was helping out at a campground in Florida one Memorial Weekend a few years ago! I volunteered to pull a night shift of security.. Big mistake. At 11 pm I saw three young boys walking around the park with bottles of beer. I asked nicely where their parents were as no kids were supposed to be unsupervised after 10 pm! They said that their parents were in the Marina listening to music and said they were allowed to walk around the park. I asked the boys to have the parents come outside, which they did. I told them about the curfew, and about the beers they had. Well, two other guys came up behind me, pulled me off the golf cart and beat and kicked me in the ribs. Also punched me in the face knocking me down. My wife who was at our RV heard the noise and came out. The Park manager came to the scene and a sheriff was dispatched. Did a report and sent me to ER. Busted a few ribs, eye swollen shut, a few minor cuts. I filed charges on the main guy but no witnesses to the initial incident so case dropped. But they were told never to come back.

RE: HOME EARLY

We lived on a boat prior to having our DP and home. We only camp part time but don't go on holiday weekends usually! Our boat always stayed at the dock on holiday weekends. Way too many drunk boaters on the waters for me. Peoples actions overall are good, but some people on holidays go overboard and expect to do whatever they please, whether a quiet time or not(they believe holidays are exempt)......

RE: Leveling- Slide In or Out?

I pull in, level coach, shut down and get the power hooked up. Go in and turn the air on. Then I put slides out and relevel.

RE: New and nervous. ..

Ask away anytime! I know that I have learned a lot of good information on here. Always happy to help out if I possibly can. I do most of my own maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. If I had to take it to the shop for everything I wouldn't be able to have it.

RE: Memorial Day - Where are you camping?!

We are staying home. Going to an arena football game in Tampa Sunday with the Tampa Bay Storm and Arizona Rattlers. We always stayed at the dock most holidays when we lived on our boat too. Too many once in a while boaters and once in a while campers. We don't like drunks on Memorial weekend and it seems that is what some people think its for!

RE: REEFER: Common Practices

If we have a month or longer gap between trips we empty it and clean, otherwise we leave it stocked and on ready for the next adventure.
