RE: Norcold issue once again

Doug, Last year the recall box light came on steady, and they checked the frig out and just the box was bad. Now the box light is on again steady, sorry fore the wrong info before..... shop replaced the box and thought that was all it was, then issues with it getting red light on again, now say the control board is the problem? Who knows!

Norcold issue once again

Well, here we go again! Norcold 1200LRIM frig on the blink again. Cooling unit replaced in February 2011. Recall box installed at that time. Recall overheat sensor failed summer of 2013 and replaced under warranty with Norcold revision "E"! Now I have mh in shop for blinking light on frig again, they changed the overheat temp sensor and running frig today, said it is working correctly. Called later today and said failed, think control board is bad, troubleshooting it tomorrow. When is enough enough...and just put a residential one in...already out $2000 for the cooling unit 2 1/2 years ago now.....?

RE: Kitchen Drain Hose/Slide out

I also got a flexible hose at lowes and replaced the split one I had found. Not an easy job, lot of it you cant see what you are doing. By the time you get twisted to do anything you can't see it. hardest part was getting the clamps tightened. I made sure it was routed a nd enough slack for the slide movement in and out.

RE: New to Full-Time Living

So sorry for your loss Cheri Ann! Lots of good info on here, and if you don't see what you need, just ask. There are a lot of seasoned Rvers here and love to help a fellow camper.

RE: Are my turn signals invisible?

What annoys me the most is when you merge left for oncoming merging traffic at an on ramp and then no one will let you back over and pass you on the right side. Just get on the road and rudeness seems to take over for many people. Sometimes I just slowly start to go right, after signaling of course. If it works then they usually pass me and give me an ok signal with one finger!

RE: New to Dingy Towing - Need help?

Hank is correct, if you decide to tow 4 down then find a vehichle you like, and check to see difficulty in installing the base plates. Some require drilling, some require removing the whole front cap to install. It depends specifically to the vehichle and what towing system you decide on. Sometimes you can find baseplates on Craiglist as many change vehichles and remove them. I have one for a 2005 Honda CRV sitting in my shed, why? I don't know what to do with it!

1200 LRIM Norcold frig issue again!

Well, another issue with the Norcold 1200 LRIM refrigerator. I just got home after a 2800 mile trip to Iowa and the HWH factory(another story). Emptied the frig, cleaned it up and has been turned off since July 29th. I went out tonight to get something out and saw the high temp sensor box red light blinking. Frig is off so no overheat condition. I had an issue previously and service center could not reset the box so replaced it under warranty with Norcold. Waiting to call Norcold in the am once again. I will update with what they tell me.....

RE: norcold ice maker

I have the same frig and my icemaker had a hairline crack on the side and water was leaking out. get a new one at Amazon and replace it in about 15 minutes. Mine was under $40!

RE: Great Service!

Glad to hear some positive reviews. Camping World gets a lot of negative hits. Hearing about the good sometimes seems like a good thing!

RE: HELP! - TV Mice/Rats Question

I just had to tear my son's truck dash apart to clean out the blower motor area. I pulled out a dead rat and his tail, and after pulling out a bunch of leaves I pulled out a thankfully dead pgymy rattle snake about 6 inches long still fully intact.....man did his truck stink bad!

RE: $100,000 dollars

I agree with Bill. I went round and round about that issue three years ago...A new coach(with severe depreciation or an older solid top line coach I ended up with a like new 2001 Beaver Contessa Diesel with 32000 miles. I have no regrets as I have the money to travel as I want, I am comfortable in my coach, and have had very little issues with it at all.

RE: Cullman campground

We did stay there overnight in July! It was a few miles off the Interstate thru a small subdivision. Not very big , had a small laundry so we caught up on it and they drove a golf cart to take us to pull-through spot as we had a toad. Friendly folks...

RE: Fueling up at a truck stop

Great advice. We were on the road this summer and used Flying J/ Pilot for all our fuel(diesel)! We used the truck lanes, a flying J card.... we double check for the correct nozzle, input the flying j card and enter the pin, push the tractor button, not reefer.....and skip the DEF panel... pump away...ours takes fuel slow so can't lock the handle and have to stand and hold it the whole time. Don't get a receipt at pump but it goes to the web site to check the price and record it that way. You can go in after pulling forward and get a receipt if you wish.
