RE: Replacing vent cover

If you go to PPLmotorhomes.com they have a diagram of the different hinge assemblys so you order the correct cover.

RE: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

And the assistance begins 4 months later, hopefully we will be kept in the loop of what transpires from here on. The only way to get these dealers to get it together is to share the issues and make them aware that we are mighty as a large group of Rver's.

RE: Best fiberglass. Wax / cleaner

I have used Pro polish that I purchased on Amazon.com.I think it was $84 for a gallon and it goes a long long way. Goes on easily and doesn't powder up like many do.

RE: Emergency Start Button - Connects both Battery banks

RE: best quality of Class A Motorhomes

We decided five years ago we didn't want any monthly payments. We are only part time but are going full time next June 2018. We knew we wanted a diesel coach over 36 foot and somewhere between 60000 & 100,000 bucks. We looked for over a year at coaches in this price range and size. Ended up with a 2001 Beaver DP with 32,000 miles, 40', and 2 slideouts. It was $65,000. Have I had to spend some money on it, of course. In five years I have put about 15,000 in it for repairs, tires, generator issues and repairs, reefer cooling unit, and all of the plastic covers on the roof. New Tv's and dash radio.....but we have a well built, clean good looking 16 year old RV.And its paid for. Good luck with your search.

RE: Purina dog food surprise

My son just had to return Purina dog food twice the same week. The dog food had bugs inside the pieces of food. He called the store and the guy said that it wont hurt the dogs...bs!

RE: New to towing a dinghy so....

Whichever one is the simplest to attach to the car frame is the one I would go with. I've had both of them.

RE: Poor RV Dealer Customer Service

I totally agree with you Jim! The less I have to take it anywhere to have something fixed the better. Even when people have suggested top notch places I have had issues. A three foot long deep scratch down to bare metal the last time I had the coach in. Of course they said they didn't do it. Of course I have a pristine 2001 Beaver Coach, I guess if it was already there I must have overlooked it. hAHA...They did repaint the area, but had the RV for two extra weeks.

RE: AC Question

We live in Florida also. I had the dash a/c system gone over a year ago and most of it needed replacement. At the tune of $1700 for the overhaul it still doesn't cool very well. I run the generator and the roof air all the time now instead. But we have a 40' diesel pusher with a huge windshield. With a 24' C you should be ok as long as the dash air works good.

RE: Anyone use Eternabond instead of Dicor?

If you prep it good, eternabond is the way to go.

RE: Dash ac recharge on class a diesel pusher

it may have a leak.....I spent $1800 replacing my whole system and having it charged. It lasted for a week then not cold again. took it back to CAT service and they wanted to look for another hose leak at $139 an hour, I left!

RE: Too many batteries?

The people that buy these expensive motorhomes don't even know where the batteries are located, much less how many or how much they cost. They have an issue they drive in, drop it off, then pay $$$$ and leave. Not all are mechanically illiterate but they have money and could care less about ever turning a wrench on one.

RE: Love Our New TT but NOT Happy Campers Bartow, FL Experience

Yes, they do a lot of "looking into" situations but doesn't the bad PR phase them at all. I know its "all about the mighty dollar" but do they not care about reputation at all. Maybe Camping World should just stop selling RV's completely and concentrate on their stores more.

RE: Generator on while towing yay or nay

I use my roof air when I travel with the generator. No issue to do it. 1/2 a gallon of diesel an hour.

RE: Allison Transmission

I agree with Ron above. if you have maintenance records as to when it was done last, go from that. If no idea when or if change the filters and fluid out for the transyd. I did mine myself and it wasn't a huge job.
