RE: Tire monitoring system

I have the Tire Traker system with 10 sensors and it works very well.

RE: Carpenter Ants take out RV....

I don't think carpenter ants will be phased by Terro. You need something a bit stronger, I would suggest "AMDPRO" granules, available at Home Depot or Lowes. You sprinkle it on the ground where you see the ant hills or trails. Works in 24 to 48 hours usually. A second application may be needed on a large colony.

RE: KVH Tracvision Flashing

Yes, you need to update the programming using the flash update wizard, and it needs to be powered by the 120v converter instead of running off 12v coach batteries. You are also correct, KVH technical support is virtually worthless.

RE: Dodge Challenger transmission trouble

@ ScottG, it's a manual. @ Iryrob9301, that doesn't sound very promising. What do you mean by "new warranty"? What do I need to be weary of? Thanks. Friends of mine in the car business at Chrysler dealerships say " The New Chrysler Corporation" (insider's joke) is worse about paying warranty claims than the old company. Just make a copy of the owners manual where it states the vehicle is 4 wheel towable just in case. That's because I will guarantee you the people your dealing with in the service department have never read the manual.

RE: Winegard anser portable sat

You will need to contact a DISH retailer/installer and purchase a "diplexer" to split the signal form the sat to two different receivers.

RE: Dodge Challenger transmission trouble

The 4th gear syncro and slider are bad. Now you get to see how well the "NEW" Chrysler Corporation warranty works!!

Fuel Additive When In Storage

What do you folks recommend for a diesel fuel additive to prevent algae growth and fuel breakdown when the coach is going to be sitting for several months ??

RE: RV GPS's????

According to another thread here, Garmin just announced an RV specific GPS. Go with a Garmin. Right now the Garmin Dezi is your best choice. The new RV Garmin may be even better with RV related POIs. Routing will be no different I am sure with this new Garmin than on the Dezi when set to RV mode. Here you go: Garmin RV 760LMT

RE: BlueRay replacement for OEM Concertone

You need to be looking for home theater in a box type units. Sony, Pioneer, RCA, etc. all make these systems. They will have individual speaker hookups to connect to your speakers. Just dump the speakers that come with the unit as they are usually junk anyway.

RE: Dish Network Service in Alantic Coast of Canada

You may be able to get the 110 & 119 if nothing is blocking your line of sight to the southwest approx. 250 degrees magnetic with an elevation angle of approx. 15 to 18 degrees. As for the 129 I doubt you will be able to receive anything at all. As for OTA it depends on your proximity to large cities. Over 30 to 40 miles is ???? You would be better off with a setup that can receive DISH's Eastern Arc sats 61.5, 72, and 77. More directly due south and approx. 5 to 7 degrees higher elevation.

RE: Toad choice reconsidered

Also, if you want to use a dolly then your limited to 2WD front wheel drive units only, that knocks out the AWD 4-Runner, Jeep, and Suzuki Sidekick.

RE: 2012 Scion xB Towing Miles

Is your XB a stick or auto? We have a 2011 w/auto. Can I tow it four down or do I need to do something to it? Thanks, Ray You cannot tow any late model Toyota or Scion automatic transmission vehicle 4 down without driveline modifications = $$$$.

RE: Tank Guage Cleaner

Have you tried the "GEO METHOD" of cleaning the tanks? I've used it for several years and it kept the gauges on the tanks functioning correctly on two different motorhomes.

RE: DISH RV Dept. Phone Number

Last time I posted the RV dept number you have a later poster said it was no longer correct and he was directed to the regular number. I hope that's not the case, as that dept was very helpful, but I suspect that it is. Edit: main switchboard number is 800-333-3474, afaik. That's what has happened when I called.

DISH RV Dept. Phone Number

Does anyone have the CORRECT phone number for the DISH RV Department? I have tried calling them twice since the first of the year on 888-309-0370 and have gotten the Equipment Verification Department. Needless to say they didn't know a RV from a SUV. The 888 number used to be the direct line to the DISH RV customer service people. The reason I'm trying to reach them is I believe with a Dish for RV account I am supposed to be getting full HD included with the price of the subscription package, instead I only get a few useless channels in HD the rest in SD. My Winegard Road Trip dome is set up for the hybrid configuration of sats 110-119-61.5. Any help would be appreciated..

RE: 2013 Dinghy Tow guide

The 2012 version of the guide is available here. Does anyone know if the Toyota Sienna is towable with 4 down? Not without extensive transmission modifications...

RE: Dinghy Towing Vehicle

The only thing to keep in mind is no automatic Scion can be towed 4down, only the 5speed manual transmission models.
