RE: Filling Fresh Water Tank '07 Jayco 23B

I had an '07 23B and it would only fill using the gravity fill.

RE: chevy equinox

I realize it can be towed 4 down, I just hadn't seen any while traveling. Thanks 2oldman for the comment. I did do a search before posting.

chevy equinox

On a recent 2500 mile trip, I found myself looking at the toads being pulled. I saw lots of Jeeps, but no Equinoxes. Now I am wondering if there is a problem with towing an Equinox. Comments?

RE: MSRP Price

I got a quote from RVDirect and used that to ask my local dealer if they could match it. It was about $30,000 off from their listed price and THEY DID!

RE: satellite dish finder

Unless there be trees.
Wondering if these would help find out if the trees are, in fact, in the way?

RE: When dumping, how do you know it is empty?

After dumping the black tank, I pour in a bucket of water as an added rinse before opening the grey tank. That seems to flush most leftovers out. Then, after closing and cleaning up, I pour in a bucket with water, dissolved soap, and water softener. That does the trick.

Bayfield, WI city park

My sister and I are getting ready for our annual trek to Lake Superior. We would like to make a side trip to Bayfield. There is a city park there that accepts no reservations. Does anyone know how busy they might be during the week for an overnight?
Thanks

I had one and when I called to activate it, I was told that it was too old.

RE: Winegard automatic dish question

Thanks for all of your replies. I had ordered an sd box from DirecTV, but they sent an HD model. Go figure. My dish is the portable, automatic dish, not traveler. I know that once I get it set up correctly the first time, it will be much easier after that.
I also apologize for my curt response earlier. I am very aware of the dangers of using electronics while driving and am usually very cautious, pulling off the road to receive calls. This was an unusual circumstance. I'm sorry.

RE: Winegard automatic dish question

I must have the dish on the receiver set incorrectly then. What dish setup do you use?

Winegard automatic dish question

Good morning- I am going to try to get answers as the last time I called Winegard, their system took down my phone number and they called back...6 hours later. I wasn't even in the same city then.
How long should it take for the satellite dish to find the signal? I live out in the country and there are no obstacles around. I am sitting at twenty minutes while the dish is trying to find the satellite. I can hear it moving around and once in a while, some of the transponders receive a signal.
Also, what does SWM mean? I spoke with their technician and he mentioned something, but since I was driving in traffic, I really couldn't extend my conversation.
Any and all help would be appreciated.

RE: Class C Campsite Photos. Show your stuff.

Dakzuki-
Oooo. I like your side shade coming off of your electric awning. It is a drawback of those awnings that they cannot be adjusted to help keep sun off the main entrance. Very nice!

RE: standard DirecTV receiver setup

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that it would be just this easy. I've tried taking the receiver from the house and using an old round dish. I just bought the automatic one and now I can keep the setup in the camper during the season.

standard DirecTV receiver setup

I have DirecTV at home with the usual HD/DVR setup. I recently purchased another receiver (standard) from DirecTV hoping to use it while traveling in the motorhome with a Winegard satellite dish. Would anyone help with directions on the setup for this? Thanks as I am definitely not technologically literate.

RE: chains?

I looked under the front of my Toyota Yaris and cannot figure out where I would attach chains. The rear...yes, the front...no.

chains?

So, how many of you who tow on a dolly use a chain to secure the toad to the dolly, in addition to the straps?
