RE: Questions about digital book readers
Have 2 of the original Kindles ~~ I think they are great. I have NO bad words or thoughts for Amazon. Any questions CustomerSvc is right on the ball.
Have right at 100 books I can carry in 1 hand ~~ great for the MH. About 1/4 of them were free-$2. (well really old classics or 'new' authors promoting their work). Read in bed(small clip-on lite) every night to get the world out of my head before I go to sleep ~~ so they don't have to be current best sellers. Read those during the day. All in All a wonderful invention.
MerryChristmas to all, K
RE: Trailer safe or lock box
Was OP directed #1 towards determined theives armed with crowbars & wrecking balls
~~OR~~
#2 to keep 'pilfering' fingers outta petty cash i.e. guys in the service bays ~ hired workers(sitters etc.) ~ kids ~ friends of kids ~ visitors ~ relatives. Have had a lot more stuff 'disappeared' by occasion #2. Just a thought ~~ YMMV
RE: Trailer safe or lock box
Like RicJones posted link "Secure It" cable safe (next to last row in link) ~~ Under cabinets/behind walls ~~ Cabled to framing ~~ Just enough to make it hard to snatch&grab in a hurry. Just holds small stuff ~~ but keeps some of it out of my pockets while hiking.
RE: Class A spare tires
Like emmmw ~ Our Itasca came with a spare. Even tho' not planning to change it myself ~ like the idea of having the 'right' tire for the road assist guy to use. Have thought I could use the extra CCC if took it out BUT like the insurance factor. JMHO YMMV
RE: Motorhome @ Stick Home When Snowbirding?
Thanks ~~ That is one way of doing it. I don't have enough $$$$$ to have 2 houses(even cheap ones) & a MH. Glad it works for them.
RE: KeePass?
NO. ~~ Not yet anyway. Have problem wrapping my head around 'posting' my 'secrets'. So far just remember and/or have small (wallet sized) address book to keep (coded) more obscure or seldom used passwords in. JMHO
RE: Motorhome @ Stick Home When Snowbirding?
Locomotiveman ~~ Are you sure the RVs parked by S&B in Phoenix were 'SnowBirds'?? Or maybe just folks in Phoenix that owned RVs that just happened NOT to be out travelling???
RE: Kindle Free Books --- Any Catch?
Kindle/PC downloaded bunch H.G.Wells & Jack London - gotta lots a 'free' Kindle reading at night stacked up. Really like the Kindle on PC for picking & choosing before ordering. YMMV
RE: How Level is Level
2007 Itasca Sunova 26P ~~ When leveled by 'auto' on leveling jacks unlatched bathroom door swings to open position resting against outer corner of shower. This provides a 'closure from living room/kitchen area and creates a bedroom/bath 'suite'. Was told that was the purpose of the swing. YMMV
RE: Looking for advice on towing a Toad
Towed a 2003 Rav4 or '89 Toyota P/U behind '98 Catalina 19 1/2' ClassC ~ V-10 ~ for many miles/years. Didn't know he was there ~ Did hills/mountains great. Did use a brake buddy(some states require ~ Most ins). Roadmaster Falcon2 hitch set up.
When got ClassA got Rav4 wired with SMI braking -- easier hook-up.
RE: Previewing Posts before Uploading?
"For more posting options use the AdvancedPostForum" That is the line following QuickReply & it has allthe icons. Or at least on my screen. YMMV
