RE: Ford 6.4 litter diesel

Well took it for a hour trip to lunch yesterday and I drove it like I stole it at first it was a little sluglish and smoked alot then it started cleaning the filter did it for 15 miles at above highway speeds had to stop at a stop sign after burn off of the filter and was real slugish and a bunch off gray smoke poured out. Had lunch and drove it hard on the way back ran excellent the rest of the day. I think me and the truck needed to get away from the ranch for a little bit been stuck there for 2 weeks and haven't seen any civilaltion. Now when the truck starts acting up it telling me its time for a break and a little road trip for lunch.

Ford 6.4 litter diesel

I have a 2008 6.4 diesel my question is how often do your "cleaning exhaust filter" light comes on and for how long seems like mine has been doing it more often lately morning and afternoon I don't know if it is my driving 100 to 150 miles a day mostly under 20 mph so I don't know if it is building up since not driving highway speeds any input

I know this doesn't have anything to do with toy haulers but taking kids to disneyland in december and was thinking of taking the trailer down there instead of staying in a hotel is there any ones close to the park? anything to know or stay away from?

RE: How long do Toy hauler Generaots last?

Funny I'm selling my rig and have had a few people say it seams like a lot of hours (250) and I try to explain that exact thing and they don't really get it.
Yeah, When I was selling my WW, I had one guy say that he thought the 252 hours I had on the gen was a lot. :h
that is alot of hours a hole 10.5 days you beter watch that gen. I have a Honda 5000 that I use for work I am a contractor we build custom homes and shops. It runs 7.5 hours a day only shuts off at lunch everyday we usually dont get power on a job until everything is framed and passed usually 2 months from start I service once a month no problems yet had it since 2004 these last forever if properly maintained. I would bet you 90% are maintaned properly if it is on a toyhauler, we are always tinkering on the engines of our bikes and doing mods on the trailers and if you look at trailers going down the road they are always the cleanist and nicest on the road with nice modified trucks pulling them and then look at the toys. So if the trailer looks good and maintaned then most likly that gen is in great condition.
