dumping fresh water question

I was wondering if there was a proper way to dump the fresh water left in the tank before leaving a campsite. I usually drain on site, but the father in law says not to do that. And he usually takes what is left home and dumps it. So question is what do you guys do with your fresh water when the stay is over?

RE: Grill that will work with my RV propane output

might be a dumb question , but I just picked up pa coleman roadtrip grill. Can I just disconnect one of the propane tanks from the camper and and connect the grill. Looks like it would work to me.

Cummins, let me guess, your one of those guys that rest your door against the neighboring vehicle when getting in and out of your 14yr old truck and think nothing about it.

RE: ecoboost max trailer max tow

CND Supercrew, I just got back from a 400 mile trip with my ecoboost screw and pull an 8000lb 31' tt through the west side of wisconsin which has quite a few 5% grade hills. And when in tow haul mode the truck does downshift to 3rd when braking down hills or coming to a stop. Or if you need to go to second you can do it manually. With that being said, it does help to maintain speed but will be nothing like your dmax/allison.
What did put a smile on face during the trip was the fact that the truck pulls that camper like nothing. At speed the truck only once downshifted to 4th when pulling these grades and felt very comfortably in control at all times. And I only have the 3.55 gears.

RE: Remove or leave on trailer hitch?

In wisconsin you can have any object protrude 4' past the tailghts without a red flag and 3' in front of the vehicle.
Normally I just leave my hitch in during camping as the truck mainly sits in the campsite. At work our trucks all have hitches in them so I'm used to them being there. Plus its full of grease so the less I handle it the better.
And it teaches people to respect other peoples property. If you hit your shin on MY hitch, YOU ARE to close to my truck.
