RE: Fuzion 362 Slide Issues?

I have the same problem on my Fuzion.
My mechanic put in a new part but it still does it. What happens is the smaller bedroom slide goes out and when the living room slide goes out or in it is larger and after waiting for the smaller slide the system "overheats" and pops the circuit.
I wait 10 seconds and then bring the slide the rest of the way in.
It is a real pain and obviously they didn't beef the part up enough.

RE: Pismo Clams ?

I go there all the time.
I see a lot of tourists trying to clam but from what the locals tell me the otters have obliterated the clam population.
The local clam chowder is made from clams flown in or trucked in as there aren't any left in Pismo.

Different kind of Non Comm Class A Question

I have the Non Commercial Non Comm Class A license.
When I got it I had to fill out a basic medical questionaire.
I just received a letter from DMV saying my medical questionare is out of date now and I need to have forms filled out.
These forms need to be filled out by my doctor and seem very involved.
I am wondering if DMV has my license confused with a bus driver license or something else.
there are 3 forms: 051, 546, and 546A..
Confused, any help would be appreciated

RE: 2010 Raptor's tie down hooks are JUNK!!!

I went through the same thing..
Good news is that once I dialed in the little things everything was smooth sailing.
I have a Fuzion which is a cousin of the Raptor.
My advice is dont let it make you nuts, upgrade the D Rings and then once you are dialed in you will have a lot of fun.
This happened to me with every new RV I have ever bought..

RE: Glamis Video

Thanks for the feedback.
Here is another video I made with my daughter.
We adopted her about a year ago from Korea when she was 4. She is 5 now and loves off roading.
I took her to the Powder Puff Race for Breast Cancer in Barstow a few weeks back and she loved riding in my RZR.
The video makes it look like we were in the race but we really weren't. I just needed a theme for the film.
We had a blast.

Glamis Video

Here is a video I made this weekend about the first trip of the season to Glamis in my RZR.
Great fun as usual...

RE: Tripple Axles

I have a triple axle Fuzion with 15 inch Mission Tires.
They were pure junk and I upgraded to 16 inch Michelin XPS Ribs.
Couldn't believe the difference. The trailer handles totally different, pulls straighter and feels like a different vehicle.
Worth the money but it wasn't cheap. 3K for 7 tires and rims installed...

RE: Stoddard Wells, Hodge Road

T-Guy has the answer.
I would have called 911 and said there were some guys in turbans blowing things up...
You can always park behind Slash X, the bar on the 247.
That is what I do when I go up as I often head up alone earlier than my friends and I picture toothless meth heads circling my RV at night when I sleep.
I am probably just paranoid though..

RE: To cover or not To cover....

Unless you plan on keeping the RV for 10 years it is a lot of work when storing it.
I have a 40 foot 5'er and bought a cover and returned it after trying to cover it a few times.

RE: Hybrid vs non-Hybrid

I started with a hybrid a few years ago.
It does feel like camping as mentioned above. The tents do not keep out the cold and you either bundle up, run the heater all night or freeze. We found the heater eats up a lot of propane but also makes a lot of noise which kept waking me up. The tents open up the floorplan making the trailer feel twice its size.
The cons were we were always cold, the wife felt unsecure as someone could always cut thru the tent. I told her the chances of this happening was basically nil. Once the sun came up and shined on the tent it would get hot quick. The tents give no noise protection so you hear everything.
Eventually the wife grew tired of the hybrid and we went to a 5'er.
They are fun though and a great way to get into RV'ing.

RE: 2007 Keystone Fuzion 362 vs. 2010 Fuzion Model

I have an 02007 362 and love it except for the rims and tires.
The Mission tires are junk and the 15 inch rims are not enough for the load.
I am upgrading to 16's with Michelin XPS Ribs next week.
Other than that they are pretty similar. I just looked at all the new models at the Sand Show and while the layout is different it is pretty standard among TH's.
I would go with the 30K 362 and just upgrade the tires and rims..

RE: Misssion tire failures under warranty

I have Mission's on my Fuzion and I called them last week to tell them they are turning colors on me, yellowish, sort of like a bruise.
They offered me an address to write a letter and I told them to get bent..
I am upgrading to 16 inch rims in 2 weeks with Michelin XPS Ribs. They are on order now..
I am sick of sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for another blow out..

RE: tire upgrade

I have a Fuzion, 40 feet and it came with Mission Tires from the rice paddies in China. I get blow outs, they turn color, etc.
I am replacing the undersized 15 inch rims with 16's with Michelin XPS Ribs, E Rated instead of D rated.
The tire guy I have who I trust said when guys come in to transport million dollar horses to go to the races he always puts them on the Mich XPS Ribs.
Good enough for me.
I will post a pic once it is done.
Piece of mind is priceless..

RE: Opinion on Victory Lane 38 SRV

I have a Fuzion and I am in the process of replacing my 15 inch junk D rate tires with 16's with the Michelin XPS Ribs.
Not to be the weight police but I would get the trailer weighed as the "dry" weight is often way off what they claim. I remember a friend of mine bought a WW and the claimed weight was off by 1,300 lbs from what they claimed.
Unsolicited opinion: Way too much trailer for that truck. Remember it isn't about exhausts or chips as that engine could pull twice the weight. it is about stopping it in a panic, heavy winds, etc. I would go DRW and my trailer is only a GVWR of 15,500lbs..

RE: Fuzion owners who have switched to 16 inch rims

I just spoke with Keystone and they said there should be no issues upgrading to 16 inch rims.
As long as they are 6 bolt rims I would think it should be easy to just put them on.
I am waiting for my tire guy to get back to me and I am probably upgrading to 16's and Michelin XPS Ribs.

Fuzion owners who have switched to 16 inch rims

I posted a similar question on tires the other day and I have made the decision to upgrade to 16 inch rims and Michelin XPS Ribs.
My question is has any other Fuzion owners on this board done this>
Is there anything special I need to know when ordering rims like offset?
Does the trailer need any upgrades, spacers, etc, or is it a simple swap>
Thanks for the help..

Trailer Tire Advice

I have a Fuzion that came with the 15 inch Mission Tires.
I don't drive a lot of miles so I am not sure if I should upgrade to 16 inch rims or just stay with the 15's and get E rated tires.
I went to Discount Tire as well as Camping World and they had Goodyear Marathons.
I asked for the Michelin XPS Ribs but no one can find them in 15 inch?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I am in North San Diego County.

RE: Rental Trailer Question

The vehicle is a 1965 Daimler Ferret. It is basically a mini tank that rides on tires instead of tracks. The tires are bullet proof.
The engine is a 6 cylinder Rolls Royce B60.
Armored vehicle. 30 cal Browning machine gun in the turret and 6 electronically controlled rocket launchers in the front.
These were designed as recon cars, to infiltrate cities, and close quartered areas of battle.
You will see them in Northern Ireland, the Berlin Wall, etc..
Made in Coventry England by Daimler. I am still trying to track the history of this vehicle and have a few leads.
Here is a link..
