RE: Need help on air conditioner thermostat
Did a search, don't know why it didn't work first time. Looks like the Hunter thermostat at Lowes will work for some units. I have to find out which units (heat and cool) that I have. Only problems most have is the hi and Low fan but we use high fan all the time anyway.
Need help on air conditioner thermostat
I have the normal Duo Therm wall air conditioner thermostat and this weekend I have to turn it up to 85 to get it to cut off. It is like the normal range has moved up 10 degrees. The air conditioner works OK but tries to cut back on right after it cuts off which kicks the breaker since the pressure has not equalized in the system. Has my thermostat gone bad and can I buy a digital home style set back thermostat to replace the original one. What voltage does the original thermostat work on? Thanks John
