RE: San Antonio then to coast

We just stayed at Blazing Star not a state park in SA. We had a great time. But, a great state park north west of SA in Guadalupe SP. Beautiful place I want to go back there. On the coast is Mustang island state park right on the beach( there's a sand dune you have to cross on the board walk) I like it also. Texas has some of the best state parks. Mayor

RE: Tear in brand new TT fiberglass, thoughts ?

yillb I'll be interested in how things are going for you with your trailer. We just bought a MPG from the same in Waco. only been out two nights so far. The reason I went with the Waco store is I have friends who have bought there and warranty issues was settled quickly. They were very happy and recommended them. Keep us posted mayor

RE: where are the "B" people?

Ok I just came across this thread, and must say i've looked at class b for a year. DW talk me into a small tt but I still long to travel in simplicity that seems to come in a class B. We watch u tube of folks who travel in class b's and it looks so fun and easy and spur of the moment. Lots of times we don't get to plan trips just get in and go. Yeah I'm one of those guys(crazies) that would trade a new TT for a class b. Roadtrek 190p comes to mind. Comment if you will. mayor

RE: FYI.Motors with Def.

Today's diesel engines are a modern marvel with the power that they have. Unfortunately with all the emissions control that is basically muted. I just bought a new 2500hd gas. Does it have the power as diesels? Far from it. But when i see that the gas engines are rarely in the shop, this outweighs that the diesel engines. BTW if I had a MH I certainly would look at a DP. mayor

RE: MPG 2800QB vs Surveyor 295QBLE

Travel4life We just bought a MPG 2400bh. We like it alot although we've only been out two nights for the shakedown. The only thing that we don't like is the booth dinette, very uncomfortable. but we are working to modify it somehow. But i also look at surveyors too. and was very impressed by them. mayor

RE: Key West, FL

Hawk being that I've never been, I think the Fla Keys itself will be great to see. I'm hoping to get down that way this year too!! Have a great trip!

dinette booth replacement

Hi everybody, We have gotten back into RVing with the purchase of a new TT. We had looked at class b's, TC, but DW prevailed and we have small bunkhouse TT. Now to the question, I know some of you have modified the slide out dinette booth. I have did a search and seen some pics. but still looking for more ideas. Our dinette booth is probably 1st place uncomfortable. I'm gonna do something with it just what, i'm still looking Thanks mayor

dogs on Fla Beaches

We're looking to go to Fla in a few weeks, Perdido Key area. I haven't been to Fla in many years (really decades), I know that most Fla beaches do not welcome dogs, but are there areas with exceptions? What about state parks(big lagoon)? Yeah know I can call but thought of asking here first for your experiences. Thanks mayor

RE: thinking about truck camper

thanks everybody for your comments and advice. After I had posted I've had second thoughts on a TC. My truck would not be able to carry a large enough camper, plus price is a factor too. I'm go to look again at TT or maybe 5th wheel. Thanks again to all and hope you have happy camping times ahead. mayor

thinking about truck camper

Hi all It's been awhile since I posted because I've been without an RV. We had 5th wheels and TT. But sold those because of being very busy and being unable to go. Now we are ready to get back to making some trips around the country. I started looking at class b, but just didn't need another vehicle. Then started looking at TCs. I know you guys aren't basis, so I wanted to get your experience with TCs. Would you ever go back to a tag along? Rv parks welcome you the same as other RVs? Is fuel mileage the same or better? Do you use your TC off the truck? What brand you recommend? Any other benefits or disappointments? A Little about us, me,DW, 2 grandbabies now(maybe more in future) but they only go for one night or so, 3 dogs. Oh we have a chevy 2500 6.0 short bed.
