RE: Transmission Dipstick

Electronically checking oil is OK but it doesn't take the place of actually sighting the stick prior to leaving on the trip. The tranny has be 140' before you can get a reading, so I guess the best daily pre-flight to pull is to look for a big oil leak spot under the tranny before you start, then as you go down the road do your dash thing.

RE: lack of a/c outlets

The # and location of the outlets is a function of the manuf designs not in synch with the users. Everygone new coach I've own has not had enough outlets nor in the location for daily living in a MH. Not too hard to fix if you have the $ or DIY talent. An example of design neglect, why would you put just 1 outlet in the bathroom next to the sink and not make it run off the inverter? Just ask a DW about her hairdryer/curler convenience. Under warranty I have gone back to the manuf and made them give me more inverter outlets at the co-pilot seat and at the LR couch for the GPS and the puter. I'm totally convinced that the engineers are not RV users and the feedback from customers to the manuf gets lost in the corp maze.

"wind blowing 25 mph or higher" on this site is usually just a breeze!

RE: Nuances of driving a DP

One other point to consider is whether your exhaust brake also actuates your brake lights, whenever you lift the accelerator. Mine does and could be very annoying to someone stuck behind you (like the wife following you) trying to figure out whether you're actually stopping or slowing. I understand my Allison 3000 brake light electronics can be switched off and I'm going to do that next service visit.

RE: Purchase from NorthTrail RV Is this a title issue ?

Looks like a FLA sinkhole to me, and trusting any dealer to straighten out along distance legal matter to your satisfaction is wishful thinking.

RE: Purchase from NorthTrail RV Is this a title issue ?

You probably won't like what I'm going to say. I think you are in far too much of a hurry to buy a coach you have not seen and has too many red flags surrounding it. I would take more time to ensure that, I have looked the coach over and I AM SATISFIED with the deal, not the inspector or anyone else. There are more hassle-free coaches available out there to be found, than to get stuck in any deal that smells bad from the beginning...my.02.

RE: Indicator Lights for Tanks

Next time you're headed out for a trip pour in a 1/2 cup of Dawn in the black tank and fill it about 1/3 full. Dump as soon as you arrive at your site and ck the gauge...should clean up good. Same thing for the gray tank.

RE: windshield wipers

Have you been in rain recently? Some wiper systems act goofy up when their elec plugs get wet and ground out. Dry out the elec connectors and coat them with waterproof coating.

RE: Right side camera replacement.

Piece of cake I'd contact Winn and tell them they've going bad for awhile and ask for a replacement. The covers pop off, and the base has a couple of screws, unplug and replace it. Ck it out before you button it back up to make sure it was the camera not something else.

Just for future info, Entegra coaches use hyd press for up & down, no springs.

RE: HELP! I'm stranded at a gas station in my Monaco DP

Am sorry but every time I step into a FL dealer I feel I've been ripped off. The last time I b****** to FL hqtrs about a one of their independent dealer rip offs. They contacted them and the dealer refunded 50% of the paid bill. I try to avoid them all like the plague, but I'm still under warranty.

RE: I am new...what did I do

X2 for the Chevy Tracker or Suzuki Gran Vitara. Reliable, cheap to buy, light weight, just add the base plate and go.
