RE: 1 way RV Class A Rentals. Having difficulty.Need help please

If you can find one, the cost would be obscene I'm sure. Have you considered buying a used one and reselling it afterwards. Just a thought....

RE: Can't find Calgon powder

Funny up here in the Toronto area, the liquid version is nowhere to be found... Only the powder version is available, at Loblaws for example.

RE: LED marker, tail & stop lights

In my case, I upgraded the tail lamps only to LEDs, a huge difference in visibility. I cleaned the area well, and simply capped the lower holes with a white plastic plug. Got the lights - for under $60 for the pair. http://i.imgur.com/MzCxx67l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RfJefZjl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Nvzi3oEl.jpg

RE: Dometic 310 RV Toilet

We too have a Dometic 310 in our 5th wheel Sabre and we love it. Just make sure you always have water or anti-freeze during storage in the bowl, or the circular rubber gasket will dry out and will not want to hold water very long... don't ask me why I know this. Good strong flush and nice height (unless you bought the low profile unit)

RE: Fireplace

We don't have one now, but am looking at putting one in. Saw one at Costco that would do the job, under $150. Adds to any romantic evening. But only for those who appreciate this kind of stuff...

RE: Brake, tail and signal light conversion to LED

I did the LED upgrade to my tail lamps to be more visible. I am a motorcyclist and am big on defensive driving. Be seen. They are a whole lot brighter than the OEM tails. Plain and simple. I also did all the inside fixtures to save power when dry camping. Happy camper.

RE: Oxygenics Shower Head Shutoff

Wow, this is excellent news. Off to Canadian Tire then. With all this knowledge, can we figure out world peace... Many thanks. Denis

RE: Brake, tail and signal light conversion to LED

Here is what I installed. I got them from Princess Auto - a Canadian store similar to Harbor Freight. They are submersible and have been working for over 3 years - and lots of rain and miles. Paid $50 for the pair. The LH one has another LED at the bottom for lighting up the licence plate/tag. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7436/9125463439_41c4ed4a10.jpgIMG_4661_a by Denis S. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7377/9127684166_4c3aed0d14.jpgIMG_4662 by Denis S.

RE: Oxygenics Shower Head Shutoff

I bought this cut-off valve. It cuts the flow off completely or any reduced flow you want. Siroflex plastic flow control valves (these are complete shut off) are available in Chrome or White. - $6.95 Thanks for this. That would do the trick. Just to figure out a shipping cost to Toronto, that will not have me take a 2nd mortgage :h

RE: Oxygenics Shower Head Shutoff

Mine didn't ship with a cutoff valve. Any ideas of what I could buy to provide that Navy shower feature? Thanks.

RE: North bound through San Francisco

We pulled our 38' 5'r right through SF some years ago. It was fine, slow but well marked, just watch the signs. The SF traffic probably thought we were crazy. You mentioned Hwy 1, DO NOT get on Hwy 1 north of San Francisco. We did, accidently, and it is way too tight to travel with a big rv. Tight switchbacks and many 1 finger salutes. Stay on 101 out of SF, trust me on this one. Thanks for sharing this, I was wondering about US 1 North of SF to Oregon, Seattle and then Vancouver BC... I guess US 101 it is. Denis

RE: Stained LP Gas Tank Cover

If all fails, get a new one. They are not that expensive. Currently under $20 at CW. Good luck.

RE: Curious about height?

I've posted this a few times, but it seems an appropriate reminder in this thread. I made this label. Can be read in my mirror (reverse) or from the ground. Of course, after seeing this image in my mirror for ten thousand miles, I'm not likely to ever forget it. Which is okay too Now this Is creative thinking. Will borrow your idea. Thanks.

RE: Curious about height?

I guess I've been looking for model year 2010, 2011.... But did not find any heights shown. I am happy to see newer models now show it, not all but many. I will measure ours. For sure, I need to know. Thanks to all. Denis

RE: Curious about height?

The mfg. does not post the height as it will very alot depending on what truck the king pin sets on. Well that is where this much published "Dry Weight" could come in handy, for once. For example. Height: 12 ft 3 in. * * Height measured at dry weight, with trailer levelled and not attached to a tow vehicle. Tires inflated to recommended PSI and all factory options on roof. Extended TV is NOT included. Height will vary with load and tow vehicle. If all manufacturers adhered to this convention, it would provide a great starting point. After all : level IS level, no ? Thanks to all. Denis

Curious about height?

Well we are just about to pick up a new to us 2010 Sabre 5th wheel, we're really excited. Been doing lots of reading, I am tad nervous about the height. Why is it that height is not shown in any of the specs from manufacturers. I kinda think it would be important. They show specifications for practically everything... But not the height.... Yes I have stage fright, but I'll get over it. But I still will end up measuring my height, once pinned and ready to roll. I will then clearly mark it on a label inside my truck, so I know. I do not want to end up on a YouTube video.... Thanks

RE: 5th wheel battery replacement

What are you guys paying for your Interstate 6 volt deep cycle batteries? Just curious. Paid $80 each at Costco, +$12 core fee.

RE: Mobil version of this site?

For me, all sites are mobile sites. Are you asking if theres an app for this site? Read this. It explains the very basic principle. Why you need a mobile version of your web site!
