Thanks again miatared! Got the same ones on sale at PA and installed them the other day. Look great!
Happy to read that. They are fantastic, my buddy, who always follows me with his TT can't believe how much brighter - and visible they are. He's doing his very soon.
A good mod in my books.
After dumping, I used 2 cups Calgon powder between outings when parked, with a gallon or so of water to swish things around while travelling. I'll put some 20 Mule borax every so often too, or cheap laundry detergent.
Never used Chlorox or Javex water, going on 5 years now, no odors and no issues. Sensors read correct 33% of time, but I don't worry about that.
Works for me (and a few friends too)
Here is what I did:
As the OEM light assy was a tad bigger, I had to plug holes at the bottom, I used white plastic plugs with silicone. Looks great and they are SO much brighter.
Got the lights from Princess Auto here in Canada (similar to Harbor Freight) for less than $40 for the pair - they are fully submersible too. 17 LEDs in total.
