RE: Cleaning refer flu
I have a 1995 682IM Norcold refrigerator and can't see how to clean the flu. It appears that it has a sheet metal right angle, like a baffle over the top of the flue so I could not get a flue brush from the top of the M/H to clean it. My friend has a Domectic and you can look right down the flu and see daylight. He uses a shot gun brush from the top to clean it. With this Norcold do I have to remove the unit to clean the flu? Any help would be appreciated .
In addition to the "baffle" on top of the flue, many (most?) of them have a twisted piece of metal suspended by a long piece of wire so it hangs just above the burner - to slow down/help hold some heat where it'll do the most good. The area above that is just chimney.
Bottom line, you need to slide the refer out of the cabinet to clean that flue pipe, and that's not a bad plan on one of that age. Shot gun brush works great. It's not too unusual to see a large flake of rust beak loose on the inside of that pipe, then drop down on that baffle or the burner itself, and make the refer inop. on propane.
RE: YIKES!!! Purple Power Got me singing the blues!!!
I know I'll probably take some grief over this, but I use the Purple Power all the time on aluminum coaches, and fiberglass (but I don't think I'd use it on a rubber roof). I do dilute it though! Straight or nearly so, it's pretty potent, but nothing that can't be handled with a little thought? It DOES need to be rinsed! Lot's of rinsing... Try not to let it dry first, then rinse. You'll likely end up rewashing that area to get the residue off?
This stuff (or something very similar) used to be available only as a commercial wax stripper for use by pros with experience using it. It's strong - but it's not like it's going to melt anything - including any graphics I've ever used it on. Diluted (20:1 or so?), it's awesome for black streak removal (wipes it right off with no scrubbing). A little stronger solution (2 cups in a 5 gallon bucket) is also really good at removing oxidation prior to application of RMP!
Regarding the OP's problem, his white streaks are probably really clean siding with no wax... A fairly strong solution will probably straighten the mess out pretty good.
Based on my experience with Purple Power,I will NEVER use it again anywhere near our camper.I have probably 6+ hours so far invested in polishing (manually) the streaks off the windows and sides. On the plus side, any black streaks that were present are now gone with the use of the polishing compound.I'm doing the job by hand since I don't trust myself with an electric buffer.Camper looks good though.I estimate I have another 3 hours or so till I'm done.
You just might save yourself a little time by putting some on a rag and trying it down low someplace? As I mentioned, if you let it dry prior to rinsing it will need to be rewashed - by more of that same product. Or you can keep polishing...

RE: redmax pro 3 floor finish
Click on this link and enter your zip code to see if your local Lowes has it in stock. Every time I see one of these "they don't/aren't going to carry it anymore" posts, I check here. As of a few minutes ago, they do carry it at the store closest to me, and it's in stock.... for 6.39 a gallon.

RE: What multi-purpose ladder do you use for your motorhomes?
Having a rather largish frame myself, I bought this one because it looked like something I could trust while working on something at roof line height. Had it for a while, and would not do without again. Collapses to about 4' and stores easily in a pass through I rarely use.

RE: how High is to High
Our radio antenna is up there too. I have more trouble in parks that anywhere else. I can hear it hitting, but it's still there/functional!
RE: wi-fi connection for lap top
AT&T has the "MiFi" setup as well if that helps you any. Recent software upgrades have improved their MiFi performance dramatically over the last few months - to the point this formerly unhappy customer is now pretty impressed! Recently completed a 5500 mile trip. From SE Mi, down along nearly the entire Gulf coast, across southern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona (Grand Canyon), Utah, Colorado and home, the only times we were without GOOD signal was when we were in a hole. If the AT&T phones worked, the MiFi worked. FWIW
