Don't know much about electronics but we did have a problem with ours that happened during a thunderstorm. We thought it was a goner. Called our RV Co. and they sent us a new one..... well upon my husband trying to take out the old one and insert the new one he managed to find a fuse in the back of the unit. It just needed to be replaced. He then just put the old unit back in the wall and yes that is all it was. Works great since. So if you take it out before taking the wires apart check the fuse. Could be an easy fix for you.

If you are planning on extended stays and are doing some cooking you might consider some of the following kitchen items:
Elec. fry pan
crock pot
Good set of pots and pans
baby Q grill
elec. coffee pot
elec. hand mixer
good chopping knife
steak knives
paring knife
micro safe dishes
measuring spoons/cups
cork screw
storage containers
general spices
Pam/cooking oil
good cook book/recipes
assorted kitchen utensils
minute timer
hot pad mitts
cutting board
hot food mats
colander
tray
oven ware/cookie sheet, bundt pan,oblong cake pan etc
an airbake cookie sheet or stone to place in bottom of oven for good heat distribution
long matches for lighting oven or long starter lighter
Just some of the ideas that may be needed for your kitchen want list.

RE: Potato salad ingredients
I make my mothers recipe. It is an amish version of potato salad.
10 lbs cooked potatoes diced
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 dozen hard boiled eggs chopped
1 lb bacon fried crispy and cut up
1 1/2 cups diced onion
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1 quart mayo
salt and pepper to taste
It is a sweet sour type dressing. Best if made the day before.
My mother also added the bacon drippings....I omit that part ! ! !
But it sure tasted good ! ! !

Sams Club sells a nice first aide kit. It opens up to hang on a door or in a closet. It has a little of everything. I add extra tylenol, bandaids, first aid cream etc. to mine. It is a great starter kit for about $20. Also great for the trunk of your car....
