RE: going to yellowstone area and only have four days.help!

Thanks for all the advice. We just heard back from Grizzly and we have reservations for July 14-18. We can cancel and only lose $10.00. Thought we better make them after what everyone was saying. We will still have to drive to Salt lake City and pick up our son at the airport on the 16th. Would still like to stay at Colter Bay a night on our way to Lander, They have openings on the 17th-18th, but think it will really cut our time short at yellowstone. The main thing our son wants to see is the wildlife. Will that be better in Yellowstone than the tetons? Now we have to figure out what we want to see and how to do the most in the least amount of time. Any ideas would be great. Can you see most of the stuff by taking the main loops or will we need to plan time to do alot of hiking to see things? There is a shuttle that runs from SLC to west Yellowstone everyday for 75.00. U might consider that as well. Definite place to seeis the grizzly wolf and discovery center in west Yellowstone. The 9.00 per person is good for 2 days. Very expensive to eat out up there. There are3 good places in my opinion. Enjoy your trip.

RE: Anybody know a good GERD pillow/wedge?

Home trends magazine sells a wedge pillow. My husband has one. When it starts getting a little flat, I put it in the rear window of RV. The sun helps fluff it back.

RE: Bear Spray: Should I buy some for Yellowstone?

Another suggestion, is when u find the trails u wish to hike you can check at the various visitor centers within the park for specific bear activity. My husband and I hike trails that most tourist do not hike. If you have not been there, then it would be a good idea to learn hiking edicate in bear country. (Ie. hollering out hey bear as u go around corners, making lots of noise) By the way bells do not work. We had a ranger tell us that some bears learned that bears are used when feeding other livestock so they might consider it a dinner bell. If u want some good trails to hike, PM me and I will be happy to recommend some. Do u know where u plan on staying?

RE: Bear Spray: Should I buy some for Yellowstone?

Yes, if u planning on doing a lot of hiking. Wait til u get to Yellowstone to purchase. It is actually not but a couple of more dollars to purchase there. If u go to the visitor's center and get with a ranger there they will demonstrate for u. This will be our 5th full summer up there.

RE: MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS

We r looking at a sleep number bed for our rv, but were told you had to set it to zero before going into high altitudes has anyone else had to do this? Any input is appreciated.

RE: MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS

We are thinking about getting a sleep number bed for our rv as we full time. We heard when going into a higher altitude that you have to turn off the regulator? Is this a different time of deal for an RV? The mattress is definitely lighter than a regular mattress so we could lighten our load a little. Did those of you who purchase one did you buy it from an rv place or the sleep number store. Thanks

RE: Information Discussion for Gate Guards

GGS, Loma and J&G by 1099. SiteWatch, Timekeepers and all others that I am aware of, by W-2. However, please talk to a tax attorney that is familiar with the ongoing law suit, prior to going with one of the companies that pay by 1099. Tax implications are being generated by the Federal law suit as how it may impact those being paid by 1099, on the day it is settled, are starting to surface. I won't go into all of what we were told, but just make sure, in your mind, you are ready for all possible IRS scenarios and a whopper of a tax bill. Texan, could you PM me this. Thanks The main problem for us is only one of us can get paid.

Don't work Here - Yellowstone Holiday Rv Resort

Don't work Here - Yellowstone Holiday Rv Resort These people do not treat their workampers well. You get a 30 amp site with store discounts, unpredictable wi-fi and pay. The problem is all workers are not treated equally fair, it is a 40 hour work week and no overtime over 40. This does not leave much time to explore the beautiful area of West Yellowstone. There are new managers this upcoming year that want the power but not the work that goes with it. If you are offended by language and nightly drinking then beware. Oh, I forgot you are watched by cameras as well. any additional info please pm me
