RE: North Carolina is MISSING!!

It's not there because the rules are very simple in North Carolina which is the NASCAR state; go fast, turn left.

And don't clog up the fast lane... the guy behind you may be Richard Petty..... ;) (some will get it, some won't)
Jim, "Gimme coffee!"
Handbasket...I do know this story and you are correct.
He always has been my hero and once when our daughter was young, she asked how he could drive a race car if he was blind.(those glasses threw her off)

RE: Roof, what would you do?

Bryan, after you had offered to move it and they said NO, no way should you settle for anything less than a total repair. You did what you could so they are totally to blame. That's why they carry insurance in the first place. It has to be used sometimes whether they like it or not. Don't give in.

RE: Roof, what would you do?

sorry for the accident and I guess it's too late to ask why you didn't move it, or why they didn't ask you to move it, before the work was being done. I'd want a whole new roof as one piece. Good luck to you. Tom Johnson's is one of the most trusted dealers that I know of.

RE: Camper Trailer Running Lights.

Use a 5 amp 2 prong fuse in the tope 2 slots on your pigtail cord. With a 5 amp, any overload should blow it. I believe that when I tried it one time, that I unhooked from shore power and they went out. Not positive on that though.

RE: Clearance from tongue to ground on electric jack

I thing it may be the measurement from the mounting plate at the top of the A frame to the bottom of the jack.quote]
This is exactly the measurment on mine when fully retracted.

RE: What is happening to this forum and the format?

Funny now that I'm on this thread, that the page number and an option to choose NEXT or PREVIOUS page in offered at the bottom of the forum. There also is not a large open area between the last post and the bottom of the page as it has been recently. I just left the one for campgrounds and parks and it is the new way without the page option and with the large open area. Something is definately screwed up, and it has nothing to do with our computers or systems.
Below is what I get after the last post on this topic which is same as at top of page.Of course it is in 1 straight line across the page.

RE: Thanks for the h2o hose caddy idea-I'm passing it on

My wife bought some of thesecordpro
at a home show a couple of years ago. They are designed for electric cords but a 25 foot hose works very well. The one negative that I found is you need to take the hose completely out of the reel or it will get wet inside and be a mess. they do take up less room and make things much neater.
And my wife was with your wife and also bought me 3 of them, but I don't unroll them all of the way unless needed. I have had good luck so far with them.

RE: Troubles with Bighorn

It will not end until consumers quit shopping solely for price and start demanding quality. The old addage "you get what you pay for" is still true.
Dave
I totally 100% agree. Over and over and over we buy the cheapest products we can find, drive out the quality manufacturers and then complain. You can't have it both ways. You can't have cheap and quality.
Nope... it's all about the manufacturer (or 99% of all businesses) making the largest return on their investment. It is all about the all mighty dollar and their profit margin... or greed. Where have you all been the past year???
Consumers have been shopping for the best price for over 100 years... that has not changed! The companies with their increased profit margin have changed.
could it be they have increased because they know that everyone will dicker on the price right off the get-go?
Just like a store raising the price of an item 30% to then give a 20% discount and we think it is a bargain....

RE: How much off MSRP?

kind of like the person who gets a price quote from internet sales and then uses it to buy from their local dealer. Just not as much face to face dickering back and forth

RE: Considering the RV Full Time Lifestyle

If you keep your same jobs, where do you park the TT ? or do you intend on travelling and finding jobs at cg's or just in that area? It seems that if you keep the same jobs and live in the same area, that you might as well live in a house. How often can you travel and keep the same job as now? These are questions that I would need answered first. Im sure that has been all planned and thought out so how does it shake out?
Thanks for any input.
