RE: Towing 2011 Tacoma manual tranny - tips please!

Well... they dealer sold my Saturn. Took only 1 day! Won't tear up deal, but offered to trade me out for what I paid. Now looking at Ford Ranger XLT 2011 4wd automatic, and yes, I located a "neutral Tow Kit accessory" from Ford. Won't get the mpg I wanted, but 4wd and 6 cylinder.

RE: Towing 2011 Tacoma manual tranny - tips please!

Looks Like I'll be asking the dealer to take back the car. Told them what I was buying it for, they even looked up curb weights for me and determined total apyload to be safe, so even they didn't know. Too bad, love the truck.

Towing 2011 Tacoma manual tranny - tips please!

Bit the bullet, traded Saturn Vue for a Tacoma Access cab, 5 speed manual. Plan to flat tow it (Roadmaster) and hopefully put my motorcycle in back. With the Saturn I had to leave key in it to get it into Neutral, that step I guess is no longer needed, but what about the fuse I had to pull out on the saturn? Is there one on the Tacoma? Will I be registering miles while towing? How do I make sure the brake & turn lights get power without headlights being on or other battery draining options? Any tips would be gratefully appreciate.

RE: Max towing guide and safety?

I though about taking harley along the way you are,but ended up getting an,ELECTRIC OVER-BILT-LIFT,installed on rear of moter home, and hooked tow-bar,sat.vue to lift works great. So did I origionally. This is a gasser. Called Fleetwood before buying it and confirmed would work, then went to get it installed and they laughed at me. Told me the weight would cause issues to slide outs unless I spent another 2k welding supports to chassi. OK, I think I get it. My Dry weight of RV is 19,500. It's GVWR is 22,000 and I usually am at 20,500-21,000 fueled loaded and passengers. My hitch is 500 tongue, and 5,000 lbs towing. My GVWR TOTAL is 26,000. So 21,000 +4,500 tow = 25,500. I do have supplemental brakes. Is this too close for safety?

Max towing guide and safety?

I installed the Banks system Cold Air and stainless exhaust) on my w22. I am always well under GVWR. My towing restriction is 4,000 lbs. I'd like to start towing 4 down a small Pick up with my motorcycle in the back. Problem is: Ford ranger std 2011 or older - curb weight 3,000 lbs Motorcycle 850 lbs Motorcycle automatic ramp 300lbs. taking it all with me priceless!) so probably real life looking at 4,200-4,300 lbs. Safe? Ideas? Why does w24 have higher towing limits? Same engine. Can I do something to the Chassi or hitch to increase my towing capability?

How to access speakers behind cloth grill in front overhead?

The front overhead on my Pace Arrow is similar to many, TV in center and top left and right have a black cloth grill covering a spot where the speakers sit. Below them is a glass door to access storage and electronics. The Grill appears to be attached from behind, so how do I get back there to change out the speakers? Thanks.

2005 Pace Arrow Dash Radio change out

Sorry if posted in wrong forum. Please move if inapropriate. I swear my coach has a double din radio. Crutchfield is telling me probably not. It's the Delco "do all", weather band, CD, Cassette.... Huge! looks to be about 4" tall. Looking to put in http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P3400BH Another crazy question... swear the radio has the "Ford" pin holes for removal. Thought that was only Fords. How do I pull it out if not pull/release holes, or find the "handles" to get it out? Would love to know if it will work or hard this job will turn out to be. Thanks.
