RE: He wants/She wants

yep, wife wins any and all issues on anything that she has to clean (says the wife :B )DH chose the tow vehicle and the fiberglass exterior (easier to wash) along with the outdoor kitchen, where we switched out the existing fridge to a wine fridge - bonus :C

RE: RV Buying question

i agree with gemsworld...a dealer doesn't need to register a vehicle, it's why they have "dealer plates"...it must be used, no matter how short the time

RE: Air Bag Suspension... help!

ok, so...if we are within tow capabilities it sounds like we just need to adjust the equalizer hitch to make the connection more "level"? we are only that "fully loaded" when we go to the racetrack and the roads from here to there are all fairly well paved and level...it was the hitch/ball connection i was most worried about (stress to the back of the ball causing some sort of failure). DH will be stopping by our local truck stop on his way back from picking up the TT after it's first annual "physical" for weight check empty...we'll make a note to stop again when everything is filled to bursting. thx :-)

RE: Honda EU6500IS Inverter Generator

We have good friends that have one...we're looking to trade up our Honda 2000is as soon as finances allow. It is very quiet and they love that the coffee pot and microwave can be on at the same time.

Air Bag Suspension... help!

We would appreciate help on what Air Bag Suspension kit to install on a 2012 RAM 1500 towing a 2012 Prime Time Tracer.
When we boondock the trailer's full of water and the Generator and 5 gas cans are in the truck bed. The truck-trailer combination then looks like a V from the side. It's not too bad, but we'd appreciate the views of the experienced users.
Looking forward to a list of options. Thanks.

RE: WERE GETTING READY- WHAT DID WE FORGET

being the wife, i am the one that stands at a back corner and shouts stop just before he runs me over :-D as for division of responsibilities, if it belongs inside, ME - if it is outside, NOT ME ;-)

RE: Buying Used or New

this may be just me, but i would "look" at different makes and models in my home state, then once i found something i like, buy it in the "destination" state - the reasoning is two-fold; a) you won't have to tow it as far, and b) you can rent a u-haul (or whatever) to transfer your "can't live without's" which may end up being cheaper in the big picture...just a thought :-)

RE: Full Showers?

ours has a full shower (prime time is a subsidiary of forest river) and the only reason the bathroom is a little small is because of the outdoor kitchen - but, our floor plan is kinda unique, we can only sleep 4 (no fold down sofa, larger dinette was more important)

RE: Keyston Fuzion garbage

Two Keystone owners, from either side of the country, posting at the same time with completely different issues on different trailer types that were built in different years? Sounds like one of those "If you, or someone you know, has...you may be entitled to money damages" commercials waiting to happen. Just an observation...
This is a re-post from a prior thread, so if some of you read that one as well, no, you are not experiencing deja vu :-D

RE: Very poor customer service from Churchville NY

I would also add your original post to the "Dear Marcus" forum under the Camping World Service and Inst... part (if you haven't already). They (whomever watches over this site) will be well aware of how many people use this site and therefore, how many people you have access to whenever you post something. Short of some sort of catastrophic disaster that has evacuated the entire area, there is absolutely no excuse for someone - or, in your case, anyone - to not have gotten back to you within four business hours. IMO you should have been contacted within two hours of your first call...just sayin'
Apologies, that was nearly a rant, but it is one of my pet peeves :-D

RE: Another Mouse Question

Moth balls was going to be my suggestion as well, if you can stand the smell. And, for my own peace of mind, I would stop by Wally World or someplace and pick up an enclosed type mouse trap, just to confirm or deny that is indeed the issue...of course, I would also question why the property owners don't provide a cat or two ;-) Just wonderin'
Oh, I'd place said traps just behind the tires as that would seem to be the easiest access point.

RE: Thoughts on Downsizing TV and RV

We just recently did the opposite...had TC and wanted more space :-) Our concern was being able to park it in the driveway, which limited the length to less than 23'. We love our Tracer, not only because it is one of the "ultra-lite" trailers, but also because it's parent co is Forest River and I haven't yet run across any bad press about them (and hoping I won't). As for the TV, the old one was starting to "nickle and dime" us, so we just got a newer version of the one we had before.
We are "state park'ers" too (DH is a birder) and have boondocked only once so far (next race is November)...so, as the signature line says, "Why didn't we do this sooner?"
Just one couple's personal experience, but it has been a great one so far... :-D

RE: Thinking of going to the dark side :-)

Having recently switched from TC to TT (about four months ago), we still aren't sure what to do with the extra space - it's still a little weird to be able to say "Just throw it in the bed of the truck". :-D

RE: Was this a lowball offer

I believe we would have walked away, too. If we were told something that turned out to not be true, what else might that apply to at a later date? Sounds like a "can of worms" best left unopened...just sayin' :-)

RE: Blue carpet turned brown

I would check for dust first, it can get everywhere and a tiny space like that is a perfect place to build-up over the years. Grab some white paper (towel, napkin) and get it damp, gently rub over the top a couple of times and check the result. If the paper turns brown, it's probably just a little dirt built up, if the paper stays white it may have something to do with oil or grease, whichever you use to lube your slide. Good luck - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it's just a little bit of dirt :-)

RE: Full hookup waste hose

We chose this one because a) sometimes we need a little add'l length, b) it came with the little L-bend thing which makes it much easier to shove into the dump "hole" and c) because it's red :-)
