RE: Our startup costs for full timing

Are you happy with the new shower head? Been looking at them trying to decide if worth the expence
We really like the Oxygenics. It gives you a refreshing water flow without, according to everyone who is supposed to know, using so much water. Our camper has a holder with three positions and, frankly, none of them are optimal for the shower head. It ends up aimed too far out into the shower stall so it can feel like it's shooting into your face. There's a balance point that, apparently, I'm better at than is my wife. I can put it up so it's not 100% into the holder but it is staying just fine. She can't seem to find it. Maybe I need to give her shower head holder lessons!
Anyway, Oxygenics does sell a holder. If you get one, you probably will want to get the holder too.

RE: Our startup costs for full timing

I don't care about budgets (LOL), but do enjoy seeing RV upgrades. What kind of flooring is that in your bathroom?????
Believe it or not it's a fairly high grade padded Linoleum. Looks good doesn't it!

RE: Our startup costs for full timing

I've also posted a photo album of several of the projects we've done on the camper.

Our startup costs for full timing

We've been in the RV full time for a bit over a month now and retirement is tomorrow. As we prepared to go full time I kept pretty good records and I've now shared them in our Here and There Blog. I think it might be helpful to anyone contemplating the move. You'll find it here.

RE: casita

Also Casita Club Classified
Yep, I bought one from that list - loved it - used it - and then sold it for about what I had in it.

RE: Decals from Graphix Unlimited?

I would wonder about the life time camper guarantee. Has he been around a long time, and will he be there in 5 years or longer. The sun hitting the decals can vary a lot on the life of the material. Even the wraps usually only last about 4-6 years.
Price would depend on the amount of graphics and if he tapers the edges of the old ones so a ridge doesn't show under the new ones. Usually easier to remove the old ones.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not too worried about the lifetime of the camper thing - I won't be in this area anyway. I am interested in his putting new vinyl over the old and in whether or not his price is reasonable.
Thanks again.

RE: Decals from Graphix Unlimited?

I'm looking at a 2007 36' 5th wheel that has peeling graphics. A local guy tells me he can replace them (all but the front logo which is still looking okay) for around $2200. He says he will trim the peeling edges back and then put new vinyl over the old vinyl and that he uses a long life vinyl and guarantees his work for the life of the camper. Does he know what he's talking about and is his price reasonable?
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

RE: PPL SALES IN TEXAS

They will do a complete inspection for $290. If they find a problem they will negotiate with the seller for you
Also, from their website: Other fees that are included at this time are a state sales tax of 6.25% if you are a Texas resident and are registering the vehicle in the state of Texas. The title/registration fee varies but is never more than $40.00 and the license fee depends on the weight of the unit and if the license plates are current or not. There is also a documentary fee of $100 and Texas charges a small inventory tax based on the value of the vehicle.
I've bought one and sold one through them - and was pleased with both transactions.

RE: need advise from Texas

Here are the February Houston averages:
Average high temperature: 67
Average low temperature: 48
Warmest ever: 87
Coldest ever: 14
Average precipitation: 4.25 in.
If you rent in Houston you can head for Galveston and then work your way south. Temps right on the Gulf will be warmer unless, as fishinrgv says you hit one of the occasional cold fronts.
You could head south 150 miles or so to Rockport - a snowbird destination and even warmer temps in a pretty area.
Have a great time!
