RE: potential problem with heavy duty front bumper??

The answer to the original question is no the air bag sensor is controlled by the speed at which it detects the vehicle stopping. I do not have the engineering terminology.

RE: Traveling with a CPAP

I was just diagnosed with severe central sleep apnea, I got a BPAP machine, with a humidifier and because of the high setting a full face mask. How long on average does it take to get used to these things? I could only keep it on 4 hours last night. I will try again. I was having terrible nightmare of suffocating I hope this machine helps. Dr. said I would be dead soon with out it. Any thoughts my camping friends?

RE: Unicat- TerraCross

charlie, from what you know now would you order the same set up or go for a diesel pusher? I am guessing you are in the $200,000 club. Just wondering if it really worth it. I love the unimog. Do you get 10 mpg?

RE: Where the duallys at?

Sorry for the double post ,but I just took 2 mins to find is one posted above. I know you want to look at 200 miles from your house ,but for example this one is in NM a salt free state and looks in great shape $2000 less than you were willing to spend , Perhaps a big ebay search with all 3 brands and travel to get a great truck.

RE: Select Root Nerve Injection

Treatment is a very individualistic thing, we will all respond differently from the same experience. So by asking you may not get a accurate answer. I will share that I had dozens of trigger point injections and 3 sets of epidural /nerve block injections. None of the shots that were targeted for the intended area worked. However, the tendentious in my elbows and knees felt great for a few months. Good luck and if you are asking if I would spend $2000 out of my pocket for these, from what I know now, no.

RE: Need help with balancing.

I'd go with the tank in the conventional location underneath the bed. Yes, it might be more to start, but would put the weight in the right place. I am wondering though...are you doing biodiesel or why do you need to carry so much fuel!
The truck comes with a 38 gallon tank. I get 12 mpg with the camper on thats about 450 miles, add a small 45 gallon tank and thats like 1000 miles. It allows you greater range to purchase cheaper when available. Alot of 5th wheel folks add 100 gallon across the bed tanks thats like 1600 range. Its nice not having to stop if you do not feel like it. Going to gas stations is not high on my like to do list.

Need help with balancing.

I would like to put a extra fuel tank(diesel) in the bed of my truck. Like all truck campers this is probably impossible. I just saw in the Northern web site a 45 gallon vertical tank that is only 91/2 inches deep. Now I know its all to do with COG , what do you think if I set my camper back 91/2 inches from the bed. against the fuel tank? I have a Lance 1010 and it rides in a Dodge Dually.I am also thinking of upgrading tires to 19.5 and Alcoa rims in the near future. I see some folks running 8 ft campers in 6 foot beds so how bad do you think this coul be? Yes yes yse I know all about tranfer flow and the other ones that bolt in place of the existing tank , these are really big $$ and you only gain 20 gallons from stock. Your thoughts????????????:h

RE: Road Rage...Chopper vs Motorhome

Many of you are making assumptions based on what you assume to be fact. No one knows what if anything prompted the biker’s reaction to the MH driver and unless you know him personally I doubt you can state his level of education. He could have been cut off, the MH could have been going 55 in a 70 mph zone for 20 miles with out getting over to let traffic get by, or (post your own favorite think here). As a life long biker and holder of numerous diplomas from higher education institutions I can tell you what he did was not smart by any means but no one should be killed this way. Not all people who ride are what you "assume". I have been run over by a 17 year old girl who was adjusting her radio while talking on the phone and did not see me stop for the person with the leaf blower who had just blown a foot of leaves out on the road. My partner and I sustained life long injuries and did not even get our expenses covered by her state minimum insurance. That could have been anyone of us ( in the MH and many of us on the bike) and I would have felt bad about it regardless. This forum and its users are bigger than the posts I’ve read today!
The facts will be coming out slowly and I hope you all stay tuned. I also hope you find it in yourselves to not jump to conclusions about people based on there mode of transportation or there choice of recreational vehicle (you fellow TC scum bag brothers).
Why am I being called a scum bag T C .?? what did I do to you?

RE: Experience/success fighting a Covenant Violation?

I guess that you would not be permitted to attach a temporary garage to your existing one, like they sell at tractor supply? Albeit another choice would be to swap your existing unit for a class B that looks like a ordinary van. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

RE: 1.2 million will buy you this Skyview Estate RV

Its funny at the show in Hershey 2007, Mr Andersen was complaining how expensive it was to rent a space at the show and display his high end 5th. The Tractor that pulls it has a $100,000 generator attached to the back of it to power the trailer. You can not hear it running in the unit. On the set its used for reviewing scenes and production meetings. The stars do not sleep in them generally they prefer high end hotels and mansions.
