RE: Toy Hauler? For extra room, but no toys to haul?

Here is another reason for a TH, drop the back door, set up the BUG PROOF Awning room, flop down some chairs and sit in relaxed comfort, this is if you can get to it BEFORE the G Kids or the dogs lay claim to it, they sleep there instead to the bunks along with the dogs curled up beside them. I would not ever be without a TH for any reason again, mine has hauled a 18' canoe on the Honda Rubicon, a large 2 wheeled BBQ, numerous animals from hunting trips, 2 Aussies, and 10 people + 2 G Kids and just about anything else I can get inside the ramp door when closed.

RE: Go big or go small

Take a good look at the 28KS or the 29? model in Northwoods Desert Fox series, made in La Grande, OR, a good HD TH, but heavy. Hit Craigs lists and visit a few models, we have a front master bedroom and love it. Don

RE: Welding on my trailer

I use a battery jumper cable on each side of where I was welding, on the frame after redesigning the battery box holder, after disconnecting every thing, and had NO problems when everything was installed and worked perfectly. Tia, Don

RE: Arctic Fox Trailer, dead ac circuit to battery charger

You can also call the NW factory and ask for a electrical diagram and they should supply you with it. You can also go the home base for Northwood RV owners (afnash.com) and ask some questions, you will get the the information you need. Tia, Don

Look at the smaller Northwoods Desert Fox series, the 21 or 24' models. They are HD TH. Tia, Don

RE: Desert Fox 28KS Question

Sorry your RZR won't fit. I just came from our site, and it is quite alive and kicking. Don't know where you ended up at. try this, http://www.afnash.com/forum.php Tia, Don Just went to that Forum site,, its dead, ghost town.

RE: Desert Fox 28KS Question

The distance between the reefer/sink is right around 44/45" IIRR, as I don't own a RZR yet, I don't know if it will fit, I know my Honda Rubicon fits with lots of room in the back right under the double bunks, (2 side by side). As the better half want a SXS,(it won't fit with the Rubicon in there), I am going to do the Idaho Tote attachment on the rear end, then transfer it to my PU for going anywhere I want to haul to. You might want to drop in to the Northwoods home site and ask this question there, AFNASH.com. Tia, Don

RE: How to keep dirt out?!?!

If you FIND a way, Please let the rest of us KNOW, after almost 40+ yrs of living in the desert, when the wind blows and even if it don't, it's not going to stay clean, regardless what YOU do, IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, whether in the stick built or the TH. Kick back and have FUN, it'll clean up later. Tia, Don

RE: A way to get rid of Yellowjackets, Flies and Mosquitoes!!!

Per the advertisement, it supposed to work on just about any type of bug, flies, mosquitoes, hornets, maybe stink bugs, millers moths, I know some Mormon Crickets that it will get tried on, as soon as the G-son finds them, etc. Right now, -5* it's kinda hard to find anything moving !!!!!!!! including me.

RE: Idaho Tote

A close friend has one and covers his ATV's with the HD nylon covers and ties the cover down to the Tote and has no problems, keeps 99% of the mess off the Atv's.

A way to get rid of Yellowjackets, Flies and Mosquitoes!!!

Here is the perfect solution to get rid of those pesky bugs at the camp site, safe, non hazardous, and very cheap to use, and would be fun also. See info here: http://www.bugasalt.com/ Tia, Don

RE: Death Valley Boondocking -- which areas are best?

c.traveler2 Great Picture of the walking/moving rock, did not know they had them down there also, Real common up North in the Black Rock and Blue Wing playa areas. Do you know how they walk/move???? Care to take a guess??? Very interesting, once you find out. Tia, Don Eureka dunes would be a good location for star gazing and doable for pulling your trail there. video pic click it, video is in real time. The video will also give you how open the area is. Another area in DV is the Racetrack, 26 miles of wash board road, but well worth it. there is a dry campsite called Homestake 3 miles beyound the Racetrack. Racetrack http://travelingman2.smugmug.com/Travel/Death-Valley-part-3/Death-Valley3-035/404411614_8JhYt-M.jpg There are also several mine in the area in which you can use Homestake as a base site. We made our third trip out there over Veteran weekend, any questions PM me.
