RE: NASA Mobile Quarantine Facility

Taking the fear of bed bugs to a whole different level.......... :B, so funny but true in hindsight - or fear of the end of the world.

RE: Securing Genturi to side of coach - How did you do it?

Hey All, I bought a Genturi set up a while back and I am just now getting around the getting it set up. I am going to assume that most of you that use Genturi or any similar set-up are not riveting the strap mounts into the side of your RV. I have no interest in doing so. So how did you secure it? Suction cups on the window somehow? Find something on the roof to secure it to? Any ideas? If you have any pics, I would love to see them. Thanks in advance! I used the included mounts and double sided 3M adhesive. No rivets. I think they look good and I'm a nut about those sort of things. :) Nice clean looking install, with or without the Gen-Turi attached. I also had to order the 1 3/4" exhaust adaptor from Camco. I was pleasantly surprised that it and the included U-Bolt were chrome plated rather than the raw steel finish of the stock adaptor. It matches my chrome generator exhaust pipe nicely. http://denniswall.com:8080/genturi.jpg http://denniswall.com:8080/adaptor.jpg

RE: WalMart Tows 1.2 million dollar Prevost off lot

This guy was an idiot. He didn't go in and ask the manager if it was OK to "overnight" in their lot. He left the MH there unattended. And lastly, he wasn't "overnighting" at all, he was camping there for the weekend! We've stayed at Walmart twice in our 30+ years of RVing. Both times we asked the store manager for permission and were kindly directed to the area of their lot they wanted RV's to park and were informed of any policies and/or restrictions involved in the privilge. Walmarts are a good alternative for a quick overnight on the way to a destination. They aren't a destination.

RE: What multi-purpose ladder do you use for your motorhomes?

Telescoping from Camping World. It stows easily and leans against motorhome which makes it stable. Good rubber ends which avoid scratching. It is pricey but really works for me. I use for snapping the window screens on the top for the most part. I've got the same one. You get what you pay for. Quality construction, light weight. Very satisfied.

RE: Walmart off RT 95 near Groton CT - OK to park overnight?

Sorry, I live a few mile from Waterford, there are RVs the just about every night. I never thought about checking in before I posted it. Oh not a problem at all. I was just trying to save others the time if they were considering it. As the manager also stated, people seem to stay there but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable in a situation like that. Groton was perfect. There was a Five Guys across the street that we had dinner in and then we were on the road by 7 AM. Just what a Walmart stop is for. Oh, BTW, we purchased a 12 pack of soda and some popcorn at the Walmart - conscience clear. :)

RE: Walmart off RT 95 near Groton CT - OK to park overnight?

We are planning a trip north in a couple of weeks and need a quick overnight stop near Groton, CT. Looking for a Walmart that allows overnighting with easy on and off RT 95 heading north. I checked my Allstays iPhone app and found these: 155 Waterford Parkway no Waterford, CT 6385 150 Gold Star Hwy Groton CT 6340 655 Boston Post Rd Old Saybrook, CT 6475 I intend to call these three but would appreciate any personal experience with any listed or others in the area? Looking for an safe/RV friendly spot to stay for a few hours. Thanks. FYI for others. The Waterford CT Walmart does not allow overnight RV parking. Even though the All Stays Walmart app lists this location as "Overnight Parking Possible", there are "Private Property - No Overnight Parking" signs posted throughout the parking lot. A call to the store manager was even less encouraging. When asked if overnight RV parking was permitted, she replied, "Not really, sometimes people do it but It's not permitted". We made our way up rt 95 five more miles north to the Groton CT Walmart, also listed in the All Stays App. A call to the store manager confirmed that overnight parking was permitted and he directed us to the area of the parking lot they wished the RV's to park. Worked out great. http://denniswall.com:8080/walmartct.jpg
