RE: Mor/Ryde Pin Box or Suspension Airbags

I have a 2006 Dodge Dually with the air bags and I have a Trailersaver air hitch and a MoRyde Pin box, perfect combination, But the airbags don't really improve ride much but does get truck back to level again if you have some sag. I have about 2100 lbs of hitch weight and a 100 gallon fuel tank in the back so I have alot of weight when I am fully loaded and as I use fuel I will adjust my air pressure in bags as it get lighter as the extra tank empty's. Good luck

RE: Hot water heater running on gas

When I am hooked up to Power I use the electric side of the heater, (why waste my propane) then when not hooked to power I use the propane and turn it off during the day if not going to use it and then turn on in the evening for the bathing, Try always to save that propane it more expensive than eletric since most RV Park fees are a set price so why not use the parks power.

RE: Hensley ts3

Mike, maybe I am missing something but what I meant was to remove the spacer that is putting your ts3 at 17 inches, minus the spacer you will be at 14 inches then add some air and your only at 15 or so and should be fine. I have an 06 Dodge dually (2 wheel drive) and have it set at 17 with the 3 inch spacer and after adding air the rig is level.

RE: Hensley ts3

I have had one for a long time, My advice to you is remove the spacer to get it back to where you old hitch hieght was then when you add air you will only raise it to the marked line which is about 1 inch or so and that will give you plenty of up & down movement, its not like your gonna air the hitch so as to raise it 2 to 3 inches.

RE: Air Ride Hitch movement crushes bed sides?

I have a trailersaver air hitch and when you hook up with no air in bags and all the weight of the trailer on the hitch and you have 5 to 7 inches clearance between bedrail and trailer there is NO WAY the trailer can hit your bed rails. When you add air to the airbags in the hitch it just goes up but even if you hit a large bump the air bags will just bottom out as if the bags were empty.

RE: F350 Tail Gate Dent

Checkout the web site below, tailgates are expensive to repair due to labor costs to straighten vs replacement.

RE: Leveling a 5th Wheel when towing

Some trailers have extra holes in the spring hangers to raise or lower but My brother in Law changed his tires to a larger tire and rim and that made a big differace if you have the room to do that.

RE: Converter problem

I had a problem with my Converter and it was not keeping the battery charged as well as other problems. One of the problems was flickering lights, changed out convertor and problem solved.

RE: Stress fractures on hitch - gooseneck conversion

Thats why most RV Mfg. will void warranty if you add a gooseneck to the 5th wheel hitch pin.

RE: Pilot Flying J card improved but will it work?

You can get fuel alot cheaper at other places, but the dump station is handy if its not plugged or full and in need of pumping out.

RE: Retirement roadtrip 2013 (Glacier, Rushmore, Yellowstone)

We just returned home from all three of those places as well as the badlands & Custer state park and Crazy horse. We also ended up at the oregon coast. we were gone 7 weeks and drove 7045 miles. It was a wondeful trip. Yellowstone has a RV campground called Fishing Bridge that has full hookup, laundermat & showers, spaces are a little tight but its a perfect location to get early starts to seeing the sights. Have a great trip

RE: 2005 Dodge 2500 AC issue

OK, I have an 06 with the same problem, I am original owner and it has been to the dealership many times for this and service manager has even seen it himself in my truck but factory techs have them run tests to see if the blend doors are working properly and this is what the factory has dealer do to run the test, They have them hook it up to the computer and put the dash controls to recirculate and everything works fine both side within a few degrees of each other. Factory says all test HAVE to be done while in recirculate mode so dealer said it was working as designed and nothing they can do, so what I do is leave it in recirculate all the time while AC is on and it works just fine and DW freezes. So Sorry but just leave it in recirculate, the dealer or factory has no fix.

RE: Need new to me Tow vehicle

Why did you have to rid yourself of the 07 and then want an 02-06?? just wondering?? I have a 2006 dodge 1 ton Quad cab dually (5.9 cummins) with the 6 speead manual tranny and 3.73 rear gears. It has all the power I will ever need. I pull a 32 ft everest with an extra fuel tank in the bed (total cap. 135 Gal) and have rarely got under 50 mph climbing hills. I am very satisfide with it, its completly stock and I get on an average of 12 to 13.1 mpg while towing, 20 to 22 around town and have never been below 8 even in a head wind. On the interstate I set my cruise at 65 mph. I would try to focus on the 06 models. I get at least 1 to 2 calls a month from dealerships in my area wanting me to trade it in because they have buyers for it, I live in an area where there are a lot of oil field people. Good luck.
