RE: Class B Purchase Advice

The high top type of B often has a large bed above the cab. Most are about 54 x 72, full size. Airstream's were 72 x 72 queen size. A ladder to get up and it's a comfortable bed that stays a bed and doesn't interfere with other functions of the rest of the unit. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Planning on buying a Roadtrek -- Advice?

For many years I have lived in my B for 3 months in Fla. I travel alone, but find it adequate. My advice would be to look for a rig with the high roofline, and the upstairs bedroom over the cab. I use this space for inside storage which is easily and readily accessable, and about 35 cubic feet. Mine has a rear bath with a tub as well as the clothes closet inside the br. 90s AS, Coachmen, Horizon etc. have these features. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Thirteenth Annual RV.net Class B Rally (B13)

Boxing day is the British (and Commwealth) day when traditionally you give the service people (mailman, milkman, egg lady etc) their box, or Christmas gift. Often this would be cookies, sweets, fruitcake or other stuff they might like. Sort of like or instead of a tip, just to show your appreciation. Happy New Year to you all. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Showers in Class B motorhomes?

Many of the older, 99s and older, have a dry bath across the back. These include Airstream, GWV, Coachmen, Holidaire and many more. Most of these have an upstairs bedroom over the cab as well as a dinette or couch which convert to beds. They are easy to find and just about anyone can work on them. If you want used and a large Br and xtra beds, Maybe a 90s rig might be worth looking into. Most are made in NA, many have low mileage and are great bargains. Not a large investment so not much to lose if you trade up later. If you come to the rally in the spring you'll see many styles and layouts on display, and you'll get input from the owners not salesmen. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: fresh water sensors

Sorry ...my bad . I misread it as the other tank. The advice about the outside sensors still holds though. Ice advice might help someone else. Many times all the sensors are determined to be not very accurate. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: fresh water sensors

Usually the sensors are inside the tank and crud builds up on them and renders them useless. There are ways to free them that you can try, usually with dubious results. Put a few bags of ice cubes in the tank, fill it up with water, drive around for a while, then drain and see if that helps. There are also sensor strips that go on the outside of the tank and aren't affected by the crud. BTW your rig is a class C not a B. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: Van for 4 with example of what I am looking for

I believe a 90s Airstream, Great West Van, Holidaire, Horizon, Falcon might fill the bill for you. They all had models with the upstairs bedroom. Some had a side sofa and some had a booth dinette, with the full bath in the rear. Try rvtrader or kijiji. john 'I am Canadian'

RE: ISO guidance, info about class B

I used to leave my dog in the van with a fan running with windows open. At 95+f after an hour it would be in the area of 80. She was small and well behaved and in a little carrier, but 1 hour was all I thought she should be left alone. Also all Motel 6s allow a pet. john 'I am Canadian'
