RE: rhino roof? really?

I beleive this is the product, procedure being referred too. If it performs as advertised it looks like a winner. Rhino

RE: fifthwheel verses class A motorhome

I've always wondered about that using the bathroom while you go down the road. Do you set the cruise control and take your time or do you coast and run like heck? At my age I don't worry about the restroom. Just wear Depends and keep on trucking. Life is good in a 5er. Sorry, couldn't resist.......

RE: Considering 5th Wheel-Question!

You will find that many 5er's have a pocket door between the bedroom and the living area.

RE: Power Converter Success

When we purchased our Cedar Creek the WFCO converter was a deal breaker. Rather than lose the sale the dealer replaced it with a 9200 series PD. We had two campers with WFCO converters and both had to be replaced.

RE: Slides - In or Out during big wind/rain storms

We spend several weeks every winter at Beachfront at Brookings. Slides have never been a problem. It is not uncommon for the wind to force rain water through the small drain slots at the bottom of the windows. It took me a while to figure out where the water was coming from. Now when we encounter sever wind and rain I just plug them.

RE: Power Converter question

The Progressive converters are real good as they have the Charge Wizard which doe not charge at full rate 24/7 as others do. It periodically boosts the charge up to maintain the charge level of your battery. With one of them you will have to add very little water to your battery/batteries. I checked mine several weeks ago after not checking them for months and only had to add about a teaspoon to 2 of the cells in 2 batteries. X-2 on the Progressive Dynamics 9200 with charge wizard. If yours is a WFCO it's either bad or will be soon.

RE: A "Heads-Up" - for CALIFORNIA 5th wheel owners

What's the problem? I went to the Los Banos, Ca. DMV office, took a simple test, got my picture taken and within a few days received a new license. On the back side: Restriction 41-May tow fifth wheel recreational trlr between 10,000/15000 lbs. GVWR. Just another revenue enhancement for the Golden State.

RE: Gas Mileage

I used to get 10-11 mpg pulling my fiver so I switched to the old English unit and I now get 20 firkins per fortnight.

RE: Cedar Creel 29re vs Cruiser cf315re

With Cedar Creek building their trailers in your home town why would buy anything else? CC has fantastic customer service and it would be a local call for you.

RE: Cedar Creek 5th wheel - 2 questions - so far

You can't go wrong with the CC. Great product and customer service. I have no problem pulling with a F-250. It looks like you are looking at a 15.5K gross 5er. That would be pushing the envelope.

RE: Hubby bought.....

the fifth wheel tailgate. :C he CAME close to pulling out the fver with the tailgate UP. OH yes you know what could have happened. So today he bought the slatted metal V tailgate. We are having it painted flame red to make the Ram Mega Cab. And he is hoping to buy the $50 Ram Head emblem to put on the tailgate. (He is checking right now if the body shop can weld it on somehow--yes he loves his rams head :) ) It was reasonable. I thought more but was surprised and now we know we can't goof it up again and the solid tailgate won't take a hit. How many use the V tailgate with their 5vers? $50 for a goat head? The junk yards are full of them. We just peeled one off an old pick up fender. We needed it for the grille shell of a T roadster we built powered by a small block Mopar.

RE: Pocket door fallen

If you can reach it with a variety of extensions, try to reattach the existing header, just be careful of excessive screw length. If that does not work get a 1x2 and measure from the floor to the bottom of the track or the existing original not pulled down 1x2 header the track is mounted to back inside the pocket. Cut it to length and install it as a cripple stud under the header. Make it a very snug fit. Secure it to the side jamb inside the pocket door with ~ 1” screws. Doing this you will loose ¾” of your door opening. Thanks for the great tip. My BL has this problem with the pocket door on his '06 Everest. I just sent a copy of your post. Thanks again.

RE: B&W is a great company!

I just replaced my ten year old Reese Select 16K with a B&W Patriot. I called the company with a question about the hitch. The lady I spoke with was very knowledgeable and pleasant. When the hitch arrived I couldn't believe the the care that had gone into the packing. Not a single chip or scratch. The powder coating and welds are perfect. As stated above: MADE IN USA very high quality!
