RE: Certificate of Origin RESOLVED

So happy you got your problem resolved. You just pulled the rug out from under the CW nay-sayers. They were expecting you to comment you would never grace a CW Store again. They will slide back into the dark shadows and wait for the next problem to erupt. :Z

RE: Beware of Michelin tires

After reading all 8 pages I decided to look at profiles. The OP has posted 99 times in 8 years. Seems like a guy that simply asks a question now and then and minds his own business. For this he gets attacked. His primary attacker has 14,000 posts in 10 years. Draw your own conclusions.
RT
Exactly, just a person trying to pass along information and along comes the keyboard commandos and tough guys. brand war juveniles, and shoot first ask questions later group that post just to make their count go up.as you have mentioned.
Thanks for your intelligent assessment of the facts.
I draw the same conclusion.
Oh and BTW this thread in the General RVing Issues was started 2 days after the OP posted on the Class C forum where he had no such attacks. Just honest discussion with no attacks.
Totally agree. There are a few posters that "have to control" every subject. They are so smart they have to let everyone know their intelligence level. They analize every word to the umpteenth degree. I would never offer advise on this forum because of this abuse. I belong to other forums that have nothing like the abuse you have to put up with here.

RE: Ladder/chair rack

I purchased this http://www.adventurerv.net/surco-camper-ladder-mounted-bike-bicycle-rack-p-2290.html?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=Froogle&gclid=CKrokMbV5rcCFVBp7AoduTAAFQ to haul my bike. I have found it great to haul my alum. ladder and I even fashioned a clothes dryer rack to lay on it when in camp.

RE: Brake Buddy

I have one of the old style BB (metal case). It started working intermittly. I checked the fuse with a test light and it showed good. I replaced it anyway and it fixed it. I think the wire in the fuse was not making good contact therefore worked some and sometimes not. I can test mine by plugging it into power, raise the rear of the unit above the front, and it will extend the rod if working. Also have a test button to push. The fuse for the BB is located in the power plug.

RE: Beware of Michelin tires

Nevadastars, you will never win on this forum. Cut your losses and move on. They know everything, are correct on everything, and you will never change them.
Heck no - everyone on the forums are now going to purchase Toyo tires like "Nevadastars" - 'cause they have a *Lifetime Warranty* !!
BTW - "Nevadastars" sings a different tune on the Class C forum about what *he* does and doesn't know!.:R

RE: New slant on Walmart camping.

Spend $100,000.00 on an Rv and too cheap to pay $25 to spend a night at a campground
What do you mean $100,000. That is rif-raft. How about $500,000 and have to save that $25 for fuel. :S

RE: RV Parks w/older RV restrictions

I think you're confused msmith1199. In your scenario I'm not soliciting for business, they are. Big difference.
And when I was in business for myself and soliciting for business I never turned anybody down; ever. If they could pay the bill and I felt I could do the job well, I did it.
You never did say how it was good logic and business sense or why there is a reason for this 10 year limit????
On a side note, there was a man that built a business model on never turning anybody down and giving a cheap price to everybody. I heard he drove around in some POC Ford truck for years. Here is his truck.
http://i44.tinypic.com/acbity.jpg
I heard he was pretty successful or so I was told? You might have heard of him? I heard he has quite a few stores or something like that? Someone even told me he was a billionaire!!! Ya right, a guy that has quite a few stores is a billionaire and and drives a truck like that? Ha, ha, ha, ha, sure, I think it's just a story. :W
Last I heard he is "DEAD". So I'm sure he is enjoying his "Billions".

RE: RV Parks w/older RV restrictions

Turtle have you ever refused to do business at any business at all based on any reason whatsoever? What if their prices were too high or what if you don't like their products? What if you walked into a restaurant and saw cockroaches all over the place? Are you going to discriminate against that poor restaurant owner and not eat at his place just because of a few bugs and a pungent smell? Is that good discrimination or bad discrimination? We can come up with what-ifs all day long. There is a reason for this 10 year limit on RV's and I think the RV parks are well within their rights to have it of that's what they want to do.
And you did notice my RV is a 2004? That means I only have a little over a year left until I'm excluded and I'm not going to buy a new RV. Oh my gosh, maybe I'll need to get a lawyer and sue for discrimination! Or maybe I'll just need to keep my RV clean and in good shape and if I have a need to stay at one of these parks I'll talk to the manager and explain that to him and see if they'll still let me in. If not, I'll take my business down the road!
All you have to do is make a copy of the title to your MH. Each yr. (white out) the model yr. and move it up 1 yr. You will keep a 9 yr. old unit and you will "show those discriminators". :S

RE: Insurance Question

Just received my premium notice for renewal. The company I am currently with has raised the premium 20% with no accidents or moving violations on my part.
Your premium is based on more than "no accidents or moving violations". It is also based on your credit rating. Has your credit rating changed???
How does your credit rating affect of vehicle insurance?
Called Credit Scoring. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0152-how-credit-scores-affect-price-credit-and-insurance

RE: Does your home jurisdiction require air brake endorsement?

I'm with Tom. See yall in the "funny papers".
Happy Camping, don't forget to check those "slack adjusters", check all your tires for cracks and inflation, if the tires are over 5 yrs. old call a tow truck so you can get to the tire store before a blowout, check your refer cause it can burn your RV down, get your CDL and you will feel 100% better (don't know why but 2% of the posters say so), check all the Camping World locations so you will know where not to stop, make reservations at all the Walmarts on your route, make sure your CoachNet is paid up because your ERS with you Insurance Co. is no good, never purchase Progressive Ins. cause the CEO 100 yrs. ago has differing p*******l asperations than you do, sell your Monaco product because Navistar no longer owns them, check out all the Pilot/Flying J locations so you will not have to stop there. Whew I'm tired. Think I'll just stay home and drink. :)

After all this discussion, I think I will get out of this "beast" and go back to something simple like "flight instruction". Anyone want to purchase a slightly used Ambassador?

RE: Does your home jurisdiction require air brake endorsement?

All of this "sitting in the cab pumping the brake pedal X number of times" is good. How do you know they really adjusted??
You measure the stroke, just like always. All of this pumping stuff isn't really necessary if you measure the pushrod stroke and it's within spec.
No one has answered my question, does the pedal go lower (as in hydralic brakes) as the adjustment gets out of tolerance? Or does the pedal go to the floor upon a stop when it is out of tolerance? Since we have professionals responding to the post, I would think they would know the answer? I normaly press my brake pedal as far as it will go, every day as I drive the MH. Usually make at least 10 stops or more each day. Do I need to do a "panic stop"? Please explain what a CDL teaches you over a "peon" like me?
Give me some info?
No, the pedal travel does not change with brake adjustment. And automatic slack adjusters are supposed to adjust automatically, without making panic stops. That's just a way of making sure they do.
Air brakes are not rocket surgery. In fact, everything that most professional truck drivers know about them can be found in the DMV commercial driver handbook, which can be picked up for free at any DMV office (in California, at least).
So if I make 10 normal stops in a day of driving, I have satisfied the CDL requirement for adjusting the brakes? I cannot imagine traveling 300 miles in a day without making at least 10 full stops. Am I being unreasonable or what? You would fail the CDL test. You forgot the walk around which requires actual checking of the slack adjusters and brake pads, drums or rotors. You are also suppose to check the air hoses leading to the brake chamber.
Damn, I hate that. You have so much knowlede that I don't, I will let you handle the walkaround and I will drive the unit. :S
