RE: It's that time of the year....dog complaints.

We often camp in the "dog sites" at Nascar races because friends of ours own dogs.
They provide great entertainment for my cats :B

RE: Shackles replaced

Upgraded mine at 6,000 miles. The plastic bushings were already showing signs of wear. I prefer to take my chances with brass bushings and grease.

RE: Now That Winter is Here......

Now that the weather is turning and we are stuck more and more indoors. For those that cannot head south for the winter for one reason or another. What are you going to do to fill your time during the winter?
I'm working to pay for all the toys and my next vacation.....
Sadly, at least 2 more years to retirement.

RE: Cedar Oil as a mouse repellent

I've given up on all the so-called remedies. Good ole snap traps for me. Set them out early in the fall, catch mice up until it turns cold or first hard frost. By that time all the mice in the area have built their nests. So that means if you have caught all the mice in your trailer, there likely will be no more trying to set up house there. They already have their place to live for the winter. And they won't move from there nests.

Wish I didn`t have so many regrets. :S
No regrets here.....I write it all off to the "experience" making me the wonderful person I am today.

RE: How generators have changed our camping experience...

Guess I'm old but I can remember when NO one had air conditioners or generators.
Wonder how they made it.
There was also a time when people had to kill or grow their own food. Times have changed. I hunt at the local grocery store because I can, and I have an expensive blue generator that I haul along with me because I enjoy the comforts when I'm camping.

RE: First winter: questions about humidty control

We don't cover our FW, but a big pan of kitty litter sure keeps the humidity down. No issues at all with mildew or smell over the winter.

RE: Changing out shackle bolts

My question is the wet bolt system with alemite or grease fitting drilled into the bolt and vein drilled through the center to disperse the grease. How much has this effected the tensile strenght of the bolt. Doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling does it?
The shear strength in a Grade 5 bolt is upwards of 70,000 psi, or 7 tons in a 1/2" Grade 5 bolt. I'm not worried about the difference the hole makes.
The warm and fuzzy feeling comes from knowing that the brass bushing and wet bolt can save you a world of misery when travelling.

RE: Christmas. Where to go?

I want to have a "white Christmas" for once and in a place that looks like a Christmas card, trees covered in snow, snow on the ground, etc. but with hook-ups.
I guess Maui is out of the question? :)
White sand beaches and snow on top of Haleakula.....

I have a slider... quite happy that i do too :)
Definately. Our provincial parks make 90 degree parking a necessity.
