Some interesting sand art.

Here are some links to some very interesting sand art videos. I think the twenty minutes I spent watching the videos were well spent. The art is performed by a Ukraine's Got Talent contestant, Kseniya Simonova, who uses music, light and sand to tell a constantly evolving story. She recently won the talent contest.
The first video is totally awesome.
The second video, a story about the invasion and occupation of the Ukraine during WW II leaves the audience spell bound.
Hope you enjoy.

RE: Microsoft to Mac?

If you get Microsoft Office for Mac at the time you buy your Mac it is fairly inexpensive. The full version has everything you are likely to need for a home office. I have never had a compatibility problem between the Windows and the Mac versions of office.
Most e-mail clients have a Mac version so there shouldn't be a problem with e- mail.
Kim Komando has some very good tips for securing a new Mac. She has a lot of tips on Macs on her website at www.komando.com. Search her site for more tips on Macs. She has a lot.
The Apple web site has a lot of good information. One is Mac 101. Another is at the Apple forum boards. When I was thinking about switching to Mac I subscribed to the forums and asked questions. The people there are glad to help and some of them are very knowledgeable.

RE: Lastpass, password manager

I've been using the free, open source password manager KeePass Password Safe now for many years. It's actually very versatile, and you can use it to store any info., not just passwords. It gives you a choice of encryption, and you can use either a master password or a key file. It will also sync(2.0v) its' password database with all your computers. Plus there are versions available for virtually all platforms PC, Mac, Linux, iPhone, Blackberry, PocketPC, Palm, J2Me Phones, and Android. Even a portable version for a USB stick. And it's Free!
I really don't see a need for an online password manager, as you can simply store a backup encrypted password file simply by emailing it to yourself as an attachment. Therefore, you always have an extra secured copy of your passwords wherever you have email access. I use my Gmail account for backup file storage, which currently allows users 7GB of email storage. If you're using Firefox, there is even an add-on which allows your Gmail account to act as a file storage space.
Ditto.

RE: Snow Leopard problem?

Ever since I updated, Firefox and some of my video and audio will occasionally quit unexpectedly. I thought it might have to do with going to 64 bit.

RE: Mac Owners ????

We use a cable modem hooked to a wireless network router. Have two Macs and two PCs connected to it wirelessly. Set up for each computer is fairly simple. Just follow the prompts in the wireless setup app with each computer and the router. If you are wanting to share files between a Mac and a PC, it can get pretty hairy if you haven't done it before.

RE: Prayer Request

Sounds like there may be a silver lining. We will keep you and yours in our thoughts and prayers. Just hang in there. It is amazing what they can do for cancer these days. Tough as it is now, it gets a little easier after you know what to expect. The initial shock can be painful, though.

RE: E-Z Up canopies

We use ours all the time, be sure to pound in the stakes, because they sail good in the wind
Sounds like that is from personal experience. I think we will stick with our very large screen room over the table. It lets everyone stay out of the rain and is a lot easier to put up by myself than the EZ Ups I've seen people put up.

RE: Speaking of light bulbs

Strange isn't it? I would think enough people would go to the next higher wattage to keep the light levels up that it makes me wonder how much we are really saving.

RE: Light Bulbs

I have some that I installed about 5 yrs ago that are still working great. You get used to the delay time for start up and the type of light they put out. I saw some CFLs for 3-way dimmers in the hardware store the other day.

RE: Any way to stop rocking of camper when at campsite?

I agree with Mike . I use the bal system. In addition, I use a tongue jack chock that prevents the tongue from moving. Everything is rock solid.

RE: Ever find money ?

Under normal circumstances I would agree the money should be returned. However, in this case they knew there was a possibility there was money in the suitcase, so they should have looked through them if they wanted to retain possession of any of the contents. It really has nothing to do with the OP's character.
