RE: Palomino Stampede

Love our Palo s-17.. Only leak was from shower water getting under faucet. Caulk fixed that up.

RE: Roo vs Stampede?

Love our '09 Stampede. Great customer service via Palomino when needed. We chose based on floor layout and trailer weight.

RE: Show your mods!!

These are the few changes to our 09 Palomino S-17
We used super thick plexi for shelves.

Added plexi to the medicine cabinet, helps keep items in place!
Hot glue gun used to plexi in place.

Added hinges to false door under sink. Nice place to store towels.

Added a shelf in cabinet above sink.

RE: Towing question

Living on the flat land of Ohio, I have not experienced any problems towing with my 04 Kia. Our longest trip was around lake Erie. I noticed many hybrids being towed by minivans in Canada. As for a camper, I like the floor plan our 17' Palomino Stampede offers. Perfect for a small family. Wonderful customer support too.

RE: Clean Handles?

Sorry, did not get a part number. I just simply emailed parts dept at the forest River Millersburg Plant where our unit was made. I am sure you could email Palomino for yours.
Lou
$6.00 each grip through Palomino as they are "aftermarket" gonna try Forest River now.

RE: Clean Handles?

We replaced all our white rubber handles by ordering new ones from Forest River's parts dept. $1.44 each plus shipping. Cut the old ones off and slid the new ones on . Ordered an extra set for down the road when these get past the point that cleaning does not work anymore.
Lou
Do you remember the part #?

RE: Clean Handles?

And to find the replacement rubber grips is near impossible. If it were a horse trailer, well, easy to find the black rubber grips.
