RE: 5th wheel mounting

Ken, Thanks I know about the gas motor. It is what I have, and it is a one time trip to help out family.

RE: 5th wheel mounting

Seriously, you are going to pull a 36' 5er with a 6.0L gasoline engine? I don't think you will be happy. The hitch you have will require rails mounted in the bed of the truck and will not allow the slide in camper to set on the floor of the truck. For you slide in to be used, you will need to go with a B7W Turn over ball and a Companion hitch. Ken

5th wheel mounting

I am in need of some info . I am a truck camp guy but I came over here for info on setting up my truck for 5th hitch. I have to go to Florida to pick up a 5th wheel camper and I am in NY. Ok the camper is a 36' and has the top part of the hitch with the camper a 18,000 lb. rees hitch. Any sugestions on what I should have for a mounting system. I would porfere a mounting system that would not interfer with my truck camper . Or something that would be easly removed. I have a SRW gmc 3500 2011 truck long box crew cab 6 liter gas motor. Thanks
