RE: Class B Windows

Crank open those small windows, turn on that Fantastic Fan - priceless! On rainy days/nights, you can crack them open and not have to worry about getting water inside. Just my two cents.

RE: Rt. 17 Chesapeake Va

Knowing the ongoing construction, I would recommend routing yourself down 95 and come over in NC. We travel in a B, enjoy the stopping etc., Tidewater is never a part of our travels. Safe travels.

RE: Newave Oven?

We have a B, and a couple of years ago, we come across an older version of the Nu-Wave. We put it in the van, and used it about twice...and then donated it. It worked great, but we are not into eating meals "at home" - we usually find a local eatery. DW said it was more problem to clean, and store than it was worth. Somehow I remember our using it about a dozen times at home when we got it......then the novelty wore off. Safe travels.

RE: Positive experience at CW

Thanks for the Postive on CW; I believe that the GS Response Team that monitors the Forum works diligently to correct problems and make our life easier when we deal with CW. Safe travels and Merry Xmas to all.

RE: From a big B to a small C......observations

We have the RT, and like you have "thought" about changing to the C. The final thing for us was the ability to pull in anywhere, shopping center, doctors office, or the post office and we fit like a normal car. The idea of this convenience was overriding in the final decision. Safe travels.

RE: Why are class B's & conversion vans so expensive?

i agree with all the positive comments on the B; I have one and would never, ever want another type. When we started out about nine years ago, we looked at the A's and C's. We liked the room each provided, but we kept going back to the B. With the B, we had all the ammenities we wanted, could park it like a car in any shopping center, and was servicable by a GM dealer. I have been to the RV Dealers "Backroom" - I like what I have and know it can be repaired by a car dealer on the road, if the situation arrives. In closing, I have never had ours to a RV Repair place, I can handle repairs. Safe travels.

RE: CB radio's anyone?

I started out without one installed years ago, but that got changed when we came thru AL during a major storm, kept wondering why it was pouring so hard and we were blown all over the place. Came into TX and found out that we had been involved in a tornado. Quick reflection reveals the radio is worthless, what station; your cell is not any good - who do you call, if you can call? I stopped and had a CB installed. I keep ours on, and it has been a help on Interstates when you get the word about a pile-up...quick exit. Once a trucker started talking about a TT who was loosing his tie straps on the back....that be us!!! just my two cents worth, like an insurance policy, there when you need it. Safe travels.

RE: newer trailer vs older class a

It's a '93....problems abound. It has been setting up, seals gaskets gone or going, or your waiting for major headaches in repairs. If you like your 30'er, why not see about another burb, or puller? There are a ton of A's being sold, but to me a '93 wouldn't be on my horizon. Safe travels.

RE: New Onan 2800 Generator

Got to love new generation products, ha! I would like to recommend you spend $.50 at Walmart at buy a Blitz Flex Nozzle. They are truly unique, not to mention cheap, and handle the job on the Onan easily. The nozzle fits the quart and gallon jugs. You screw it on, pull the nozzle up to extend it, bend it to a horseshoe and it will go right in the hole - no mess at all. I have used the marine pump, and hose taped to the bottle, etc., but this little ole cheapie is the real deal. I now have a dozen, carry one in the B for when someone mentions the Onan. Safe travels.

RE: Any experience with Camping World extended service contract

If you check out CW on this site, you are going to read some real eye openers. If I were you, I would investigate it thoroughly......there are other places around, if you find better - I would surely go with them. Safe travels.

RE: AICD/ Pacemaker/Defibbulator....anybody have one?

Defib installed in Nov '07, and haven't had a problem since then. Prior to that, I had had numerous heart attacks. I visit the Defib Clinic once a year, and quarterly I do a remote download via a machine provided me thru the phone lines to the hospital. I hear your Dr saying one wire wasn't working....they could have downloaded it and I would think that would show it was having a problem. I take the Lasik pill twice a day for fluid - and sometimes have to take a third - if I feel the swelling in my feet/ankles is not normal. Hope you get everything resolved - the technology is super. Safe travels.

RE: GUILTY verdict in Murder of couple in their RV

This is one person who fully supports the death penalty - no matter what method is used, forget this human rights garbage. Someone mentioned it would be fitting to put them in general population of the prison - let's not waste the taxpayers money!! It is truly disgusting to see where some of these clowns have been on death row for 20+ years....save money and space - get rid of them. Safe travels.

RE: Florida must-sees - advice please!

If you can, a visit to the Ringling Brothers in Sarasota...your children are at the age they would really appreciate it. It is easy access, and if in the area, well worth the time and effort. Oh...us "older" kids like it also! Enjoy FL.

RE: dumb generator question

PVC Piping, piece of plywood and a 5-7 tarp works for us. You paid good bucks for it - take care of it and it will last for years.

RE: Is there a "Newbie" Forum?

Welcome - we were all new at one time, but now we all stand ready to answer your questions. If you don't have the manual for your rig, quite possibly someone on the forum has that model or brand and can help you out. Thanks for your service and safe travels, Ron.

RE: Generac Generator Issue, Help Please

Does that generator have a Low Oil Sensor? If so, might not hurt to disconnect and see if you get any better results. Have you tried contacting Tech Svcs at Generac, I understand they are most helpful. Safew travels.
