Even downloaded Winnebago breakdown. cannot find a access panel to get to the motors to trouble shot them. Anyone know how to get to the motors?

RE: Looking at a Winnebago Adventurer. Any known issues?

my brother and I each have Adventurers by Winnebago. the models we now have only were in production for 2-3 (2008-2010)years. 35Z. great floor plan. don't know why they quit making the 35Z. It has had same or some of the problems that any Class "A" home would have. been a lot of places with our homes------heading out for 4 months in a few weeks. Check this site for 35Z problems or issues>

RE: thoughts on the brake buddy

thanks for the great real experience comments-----------the system was 5 years old--------and brake buddy was firm on not repairing it free------but did offer an loaner while my was been repaired. They (brake Buddy did say that their could be other things needing repairing once they examined it---even though I did the service check the requested for me to do in the field to determine it was the compressor. Only pull one vehicle no changing vehicles. Agree the brake buddy is an nuisance to hook-up, let it cycle for several times and then wait about 10 minutes to make sure the compressor is holding air and not leaking down, plus storage. Probably time for a different system. as stated earlier I have a gas class "A" motorhome no air available. Let's have a vote on Ready Brake or InvisiBrake------which?

thoughts on the brake buddy

I recently had my brake buddy compressor to burn up----the company said it must have developed a leak at the compressor and was running continuously. should it be sent back for a $400 rebuild, upgrade for new model for $800 or get a different brand of auxiliary braking---have a class "A" gas engine motorhome?

additional driving lights

My factory Winnebago F53 chassis lights do not allow me to see very far down the road. Has anyone added additional driving lights and fog lights to their Class "A" motor-home. Looking at mounting them in the front grill on a bar.

RE: Air Compressor Suggestions

I like the product by powertank at www.Powertank.com. no need for ac power, light weight, easy to transport, will top off 22.5 tires quickly and quickly, can also be used with air impact tools-----several sizes. The company makes several models for motorhomes. give it a look

RE: Diesel or Gas- Which Way Should I Go?

WE bought gas Class "A" when we retired---did not want debt. would have like a 40 foot 450hp Cummings diesel (would liked to been able to pull our Tahoe) air ride suspension, air brakes, smoother steering with computer assisted vibration control, but out of our price range.
We have what the Lord blessed us with.

RE: PA turnpike

response to C-leigh racing----------yes the towns listed are the ones that we need to stop at.
Wife and I from May to November travel the country volunteering our assistance in any capacity needed to start-up or mission churches. We are trying to give back some of the many blessing which we have so abundantly received of our lifetime . We do this work at no cost to the church or community.
We use a 36' gas powered motor-home--------was hoping for a diesel with air ride suspension----for easier driving and ride. But we were blessed with what we have so my wife and I drive and use that.
When and if our house sells, this will be a full time adventure. There are many in our great country that need help.

PA turnpike

Needing to make a trip with 36' class "A" V10 motor-home in June to Erie, Pa from North Carolina. I have heard that the Turnpike is very rough ride for a motor-home. Mine does not have air suspension. Will be traveling north on 81 into Pennsylvania. stopping at Greensburg, Pa prior to Erie, Pa.
Comments are certainly appreciated.

protective front film.

Anyone tried removing MH's front protective clear film. There is yellowish brown spots appearing between film and motorhome surface., They are getting bad as well as ugly. Concerned that paint will pull when film removed.

class"A" or 5th wheel

Not sure the best place to post this question---if it is the wrong place forgive.
will be 60% full-time. I see lots of class"A" motorhomes on the road.
The only differences that I see is that one has the running gear built into the unit and the other has running gear separate. with the trailer it appears that you could update the puller as needed. without having to change out the living quarters. the Class "A" would have the convenience of someone resting will the other one is driving, and if weather is bad not having to move from tow unit to trailer. The leveling, slides, awning, electrical, etc would probably all have the same issues.
What are others personal opinions. It is just my wife and I. Retired

Heating/ cooling duct system

Have a 2009 Winnebago 35Z. Have been told by some that my motorhome and many other motorhomes have conditioned bays. Is this true or false?
Reason for ???, my cooling system does not seem to be as efficient as previous Motorhome in cooling. drops the temp only 12-15 degrees from outside to inside. The heating/cooling system is basement configuration.
If in deed the bays are conditioned what would it hurt to block the air flow to them and use the energy inside the motorhome?
