Thanks for the offer, I'm up that way 2-3 times a year. Might hit you up on that someday.

RE: Chevy 2500HD 6.0 Gearing Question

Sounds like you had a good trip. I've been considering gears as I have 33" tires with 3.73 gears. The Blackbear tune I have was a good improvement but I think I'll go with cam before I do gears. Thanks again for the update.
Welcome to Texas.

RE: Cover for the toy hauler

My neighbor has a fake owl in his tree to keep birds away from his class A. It seems to work pretty good, might give that a try.

RE: For Better Mileage: Hypertech, EVO or Nothing?

Well as far as emissions go i still have my factory cats, my muffler is not a stock one and it will pass emissions here in Texas with no problems.
I often wonder how Chevrolet uses the same 6.0 motor but manages to bring more horsepower every year. Could they be tuning the motor? makes a man wonder.

RE: For Better Mileage: Hypertech, EVO or Nothing?

Rickgu- Have you noticed any difference in performance towing yet? just wondering, Thanks
I just had it done last week and haven't had a chance to tow yet. I didn't realize how sloppy the shifts were till after i got it tuned, its just way better all around. The torque converter locks up sooner and the shifts are immediate with very little throttle input compared to stock.

RE: For Better Mileage: Hypertech, EVO or Nothing?

I just got the Blackbear performance tune on my 6.0 and would recommend it. My in town mileage went from 8-9 m.p.g. to 11.5 m.p.g and highway I was at 13.5 and I got 15.2 on the way home after the tune (hand calculated)the DIC had the same mileage.

RE: "The black box"

I did the same thing except i just went to Walmart and bought another 7 pin. i took the back off and jumped the wire, when i want my lights on i just plug it in just like on my truck. I store it in the pin box which is where i keep my cord at too. But yours is cooler thou.
