RE: power problems with new battery.
I had a bad ground for the front jacks that caused my battery to die quickly. Make sure all your grounds are clean and well connected.
RE: Fueling
I let it idle, and fill. But never for more than 5 minutes. I do not want to have cylinder washdown from extended idling.
I only ever shut mine down once my EGT's are 350 or less.
