RE: Norcold fridge, not staying on gas

I had a problem this past july when we were getting ready to go camping. When I unplug from electric at home mine would not switch to gas at all. I checked fuses, the regulator and could not figure it out until I checked voltage at battery and at the control panel. I have a small circuit breaker inline with the 12v from the battery that was bad. It is the type that can reset on its on after awhile. It was located on the battery end of the +12v red wire just under the edge of the trailor on the frame. I have a KZ Spree and called them to see about what to replace it with. Got one at the auto parts store and fridge works fine now when switching to gas. That may be the problem with yours tripping and the 12volts can't lite the pilot back.

RE: High mileage tow vehicle, Good idea or bad?

I just recently retired my 1993 silverado from towing with 257,000 miles. I did have to replace my fuel pump once on the last day of a camping trip to the smokies. On that model year you could replace components and with towing it was fixed for around $485.00 and was back on the road in about 3 hrs.from a dealership in Knoxville. I still drive it to work every day and will for awhile(my son wants it when he can drive - he's 13)
