RE: Is it safe to use normal garden hose for water??

I use a garden hose. We take drinking water with us, so what comes out of the RV faucet is for showers and dishes....

RE: Fifth wheel investment

Dutchmen RV makes many lines of RV besides the ones labeled as "Dutchmen" - to market across all price points. The Dutchmen model itself has a bad reputation, but other models seem to be well built.
I haven't seen an unusual amount of complaints about the Denali line. Our Colorado was made by Dutchmen and we have had no issues with it, yep I said it, 4 years and no issues. Maybe I got an oddball, but I am very happy with it.
Nothing wrong with Jaycos either.

RE: Gettysburg area - what to see / do?

While visiting --- All that touring will make you hungry....
Fancy dinner -- Dobbin House
Ice cream sandwich in a pretzel roll, Hunts cafe, just down the street from the Dobbin House -- THE BEST
Tommys pizza in the same area is really good, but we prefer My Brothers pizza on rt 116 between the KOA and G-burg.
Garryowen Irish pub is great too.

RE: April camping in Lancaster PA area - suggestions PLEASE

We lived in the Lancaster area for 15 years. Go back once a year to stop at all of our favorite places. We have either stayed at or driven thru most of the CG in the area.
Country Acres is where we have stayed the last 2 years and will again this year. The upper part is laid out very well. Nice farm with horse pasture along the top end.
It is right on Rt 30 which will take you into Coatsville.

RE: Just bought a 2007 Surveyor, 192T

We had a 2006 for four seasons. We had no issues at all with it. Pulled it comfortably with a 1/2 ton Dodge 5.9, 3.55 gears. You should be good with the 3.94's.

RE: Now that we survived, I've got to ask....

I would be more concerned about falling tree branches. Stay away from the tented ends during severe storms.

RE: Popup to Hybrid - Dampness?

I found our HTT to be less damp than the PUP, but still damp. Damp pillows and sheets are one issue that eventually drove us to a fiver.
