RE: advise on route from seattle south

I just came that way in my gasser no problems. Your rig should have 0 problems. I thought it was a bit of a boring road after we left 90. Steep ? don't recall anything out of the ordinary. Dangerous not at all. Worst part was all the construction in Salt Lake area. Weather should be watched closely. We took 15 out of SLC.

RE: sewer clean out at new house

A big plus. I can think of no harm it could do to neighbors if installed correctly. Every house in my subdivision has one, along with electric and water.

RE: Future Home of Future RV..Planing & Zoning

Inspectors are not planning and zoning, nor do they always know the code as well as they think they do. Go to city planing to be sure of the encoachment guidelines. I don't really see the need to install a proper driveway. Can't you "jump" the curb to get your RV in the backyard. I mean you're not using it 4 or 5 times a day.

RE: Lets hear from FT class A gas

Fulltime in a Pace Arrow for almost 6 yrs now. Been an excellent rig. No suspension changes. Plenty of pull in the hills, good braking down hill; have not been embarassed by performance, with toad attached handled SR12 between Bryce Cyn and Capitol Reef just fine; in two spots there are 14% grades. I think Workhorse W24 is a great chassis and power train combo. I forget the numbers but, we carry everything we need plus some and weight has not be a problem. Have all the conviences, washer dryer, 50 amp EMS, 3 slides, full shower, china toilet, dual a/c, autolevelers, power awning, suround sound, 10 gal WH and more. Been to Settle, Flordia, Blue Ridge Parkway, Badlands, Rio Grand Valley, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Alcapulco, almost into Belize. Headed to Alaska next summer.
On long grades or using th Grade Brake feature the engine can be noisy, in "normal" driving it is less noisy than my Grand Cherokee. The ride depends on the road; on Hwy 10 in LA. it is rough, on roads in good shape it's smooth sailing. Travling with friends in thier DPs and 5ers at the end of the day or while on the CBs they complain or praise the same roads I do. The dog house being maybe 2" high is a non issue for me. It is abit more tender in strong side winds than a heavier DP but you just slow down a bit.

Sometimes I don't understand this forum. You ask for parks in Casa Grande and get sent listing for Yuma, Tucson, Quartzsite and other places that are hours away. I just don't get it.:h

RE: Any RV Parks near Los Mochis near the 15???

If I recall correctly. The copper canyon rv lot is owned by one of the nicer hotels in Los Mochis. We stayed at the rv park, booked our train ride at/thru the Hotel. The hotel picked us up at the rv park and drove us to El Furete at no additional charge; they also picked us up there and brought us back to the rv park when we returned a day or two later. Saved us about 6 hrs on the train at 8mph seeing nothing but fields and small villages. They also watched our dogs. We did not stay in El Furete because of the Black Fly infestation, we tried but, with in an hour of arriving we left (bitten and bleeding) and went to Los Mochis. Mr Moros is a nice placedon't know about the hotel) but along ride from Los Mochis. Alamos is a nice side trip.

RE: Zion Tunnel Length Restrictions Strictly Enforced

I had to unhook the towed when we went thru. The tunnel is a mile long and has a couple of turns. The road on the West side is very windy with sharp switchbacks. The one way traffic is only thru the tunnel a long rig 5er or TT might easly get hung up in those turns. Somewhere a line has to be drawn. Not much "swing room" on the turns in the tunnel.

RE: Bouse, Az.

Depends on you. Could go thru Lake Havusu and Parker about 480 miles. Go thru Joshua Tree National Park. Only about 10 miles difference, or go as hwybnb suggested about 500 miles lots of ways to go. Bouse isn't know as an entertainment center.

RE: Is your RV a toy?

I posted that. RVs are toys in the sense that they are not appreciating assets. I also include boats and some vacation property in that category. If it appreciates its an asset - everything else is an expense. The fact that we live fulltime in our toy doesn't magically turn it into an asset.
What a sad way to look at things :(

RE: Squeaks, Creaks & Groans!

On my last drive I came up with noises I had never heard before. I tightened this and that; and filed plastic I thought was rubbing. I finally, almost by accident, found this
http://i34.tinypic.com/2qkp8hi.jpg
and this
http://i33.tinypic.com/243j7zl.jpg
one is directly under the driver side dash/floorboard the other is under the passenger dash/floorboard. Once these are repaired I think the cockpit noise will be gone.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Looking for a loud squeak near the floor under the drivers feet. I looked in the front wheel wells in front of the tires. The "bumber/frame" has a "Y" shaped brace going up to a cross support under the floor. I found that "Y" support was busted in half just below the "Y". Being cautious I checked under the passenger side .... same thing. Just wanted to give a heads up. The noise on the drivers side just started. The passenger side looks like it has been that way for sometime but no noise.
Welding shop here we come. I'll try for structural warranty but doubt I'll have much luck.

RE: Chip & Seal not really pavement?

Chip seal is just that, a sealer and wear surface that also protects the underlying asphalt and road base and protects from black ice. Made from the same stuff as hot mix just placed different.
