RE: Cleaning the Gray water sensors?

Well I put 5 gal of vinegar in both the gray and the black and 2 bags of ice in the black and we drove home. Didn't do anything. I so thought that vinegar would work LOL I'm going to let the tanks sit with the 5 gal of vinegar and about 6 gal of water in the tanks and see if anything cleans up. When we leave in a few months, I'll find some tank cleaners as suggested above.

RE: Cleaning the Gray water sensors?

Thanks guys. So many good ideas. The idea of the water causing the problem may be my problem. We stayed 5 months In Las Vegas and there isn't harder water anywhere. (That is where the sensors started acting up) I fought hard water stains everywhere. I bet the tank walls (that is why the full still works) have hard water build up. We dump every 2 days, can go 3 with normal use so it isn't crucial to have the sensors work, but I just like to have everything working. I am definitely going to try the vinegar. That should help the hard water build up. Thanks a million. I also had no idea that Winnebago put the sensors on the outside so since we keep our tanks clean all the time it has to be hard water sitting in there.

RE: Trouble Free Motorhome Owner?

We have had 2 Winnebago Class A's. We had Gassers, but I have to agree with the Winnebago owners above. Absolutely trouble free. A few minor tweaks. We did have a bad circuit panel on a hot water tank which caused it to not heat on electric only, but was replaced by the dealer one afternoon. We would not hesitate to buy Winnebago over and over.

RE: Trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco

The coastal route is the best way to go if you are vacationing. If you are in a hurry, just go I5 and cut across at the San Luis Reservoir. If you go the Coastal route, you will not make 300 to 400 miles per day, impossible and you would not want to as you would miss the beauty.

RE: What RV damage has Gorilla Duct Tape repaired?

We backed into a tree and damaged a rear corner. We had just left home for a 3 month trip. Used Gorilla Duck Tape to tape the corner. Held the entire month. When we took it in to be prepared, we were told not to leave that tape on too long or it will discolor the finish. It protected the corner which would have been exposed to water for the 3 months. Dry as a bone when it was taken off.

Cleaning the Gray water sensors?

I am so careful, but I obviously have got something on the sensors in the Gray water and it was stuck on 2/3. It will register full, but will never go below 2/3. The motorhome is almost new and the tank is truly emptying. I tried putting some Tide in the tank while we traveled, and now the sensor registers 1/3 so I have made progress. Does anyone have an idea as to what I can put in the Gray to clean those sensors. I am assuming they have grease or something of that nature. I wondered about putting some coffee grounds while we travel. Anyone have an idea. My black tank sensors are stuck on 3/4 and NOTHING has worked for those, but I can see into that tank and can visually see the level. The black also empties completely as I can see the bottom of the tank and it is clean as can be when we empty it. We have always used tons of water. Tomorrow I am going to try and put like 3 bags of ice in the black and if that works great, if not, not going to worry about that. This is our 4th Motorhome and I have never had my sensors not work so it is frustrating. Thanks

RE: Fried A/C, 2 TV's and micro wave-my fault or electricians.

How did you plug your 30 amp into a 220 without some kind of connector or did the Electrician install a 30 amp plug with 220 wiring. A 220 plug is totally different than a 30 amp. They would not marry up. If the electrician installed a 30 amp plug in He is so in the wrong. If this is a licensed electrician, he is responsible for everything.

RE: Travel in windy conditions

You will know what is not comfortable for you. Use your own judgement. If you are fighting trying to drive, get off the road.

RE: looking for a light weight toad

Look at the Mazda Miata Manual Transmission. We towed one for 2 years all over the US Fun Car. We are going to sell ours but not because we don't LOVE it. Just too hard to get in and out with bad knees and hips. About 2,000 pounds. Don't even know it is back there. We first towed in with a 25 foot class C with a V10 Ford engine. Truly did not know it was back there Flat tows with no modifications

RE: Please help me find new recliners!

Replaced couch with Lazy Boy Recliners We hated the couch and tiny little recliner that came in our 2012 Sightseer 33C so we took them out and replaced them with the 2 Lazy Boy Wall Hugger recliners and little table between . Love it These are not huge recliners so fit perfectly. We turn them toward each other before we bring the slide in when we travel.

RE: flat towing 2003 Madza Miata behind my Class A motorhome

We tow a 2006 6 speed manual. Hook it up, put it in neutral, turn the key and go. We have towed the Miata for 3 years. Fun Fun Car. You will get road rash on the bottom right front. We use a Shield on the entire front that hooks into the tow bar which protects the glass. I am sure you know that the Miata's glass is very prone to chips as low as it sits. We have a new CRV that we are towing now and are really having a hard time deciding if we want to get rid of the Miata and have (two) toads. Probably will sell it, as it is really hard for me to get in and out of with bad knees and hips. But we love it. You won't even know it is back there. Healyman helped us and gave us confidence that we could tow the Miata. Don't let anyone hold you back. We have towed that car over 1000 miles at one time and never unhooked nor had to drive it. We towed this Miata over 25,000 miles. You will love it We did not see any additional front tire wear.

RE: Dogs, wll they ever quit barking?

We are in an RV park which has a dog run area. Every morning the yapping starts around 6 and continues from there. People believe that if their dogs are in the poop area, they should be able to bark and bark I guess. I management does nothing. Says to call when it happens. Rather than inform the people to keep their dogs quiet.

RE: lightest toad car

We towed a Mazda Miata convertible just about 2000 pounds. A great 4 down toad. Ours is a 2006 6 speed. A really fun car. If you have any questions, email me.

RE: Suggestions Myrtle Beach Class Resort?? and Branson Mo

We always stay at the Musiclandkampground on Gretna. Nice, clean and very friendly along with security entrance. Reasonable rates along with right on the Branson strip. If you have a dish, make sure you tell them when you make a reservation. There is lots of shade spots. Not a parking lot.

RE: DRUGS

We have all ours shipped. Your best bet is to make a reservation at an RV park and notify them in advance that you will be receiving a package. Worth staying one night in an RV park to get your medications securely.

RE: Montana LLCs under attack in Iowa

The high tax States are the ones that have the people who don't want to pay the taxes it seems although our state of Washington has one of the highest sales taxes and we paid our Washington sales tax on both Class A's that we purchased out of state. The high tax states keep voting the Tax and Spend party and then complain about the taxes and figure out ways to not pay them. Just doesn't make sense.

RE: Montana LLCs under attack in Iowa

The true explanation is that if you create something to show you live somewhere or work somewhere where you really don't to evade paying taxes in the location you really live, it is tax evasion. It is just a matter of time when your state will find out and track you down. The LLC Info is public information and States are hungry for money. They just have to match their states residences information with the States that have no taxes and they are going to go after the money. We bought our RV out of State and paid our own states taxes before we moved the RV. Just the right thing to do.

RE: What is YOUR Toad? (Four Wheels Down - not Dolly Tow)

We tow a 2006 6 speed manual trans Mazda Miata Convertible with no braking system, and a 2013 CRV Honda with a SMI plug and play brake system. Love them both.
