RE: Got our Yosemite campsites - suggestions welcome!

After doing all the sites in the Valley, Glacier Point, etc., I would strongly suggest you ride the Tioga Road (120)all the way to Lee Vining, have lunch and ride back. Then if time permits on another day, ride over to Hetch Hetchy.

RE: Has anyone purchased a Summit Rocker from Camping World

The problem that I find with this rocker is that a lot of campsites we visit are gravel and I don't think this rocker would rock that easy. I am looking to buy this one. A friend has one and for the price, I like itFreestyle Rocker.

RE: Zion Nat. Park RV parks w/hookups?

Zion Canyon Campground is location, location, LOCATION. Next to Watchman(where I will be tomorrow) I would stay there. On the shuttle and close to every thing. If I can't get into Watchman, that's where we stay.

RE: Laptop computer

I have been using my Dell laptop with windows 8 for a few months. I went from XP also. A little learning curve, but one I think anyone can learn.
"Trackrig" mentions Windows 8 being touch screen, My Dell is not.

RE: RV Parks w/older RV restrictions

Try the Road Runner RV Park on Boulder Hwy. The billboard at the entrance is displaying a week for $89. Lots of TT members spend their "week out" there.

RE: Yosemite Lakes?

If you are referring to Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes, then we have stayed there as a TT member. A typical TT Preserve. There is a section across the road for non members. IMO, The location is great for visiting Yosemite National Park. Hetch Hetchy is close by also.

RE: NPS Sequestration. A reversal!

Max operates a real nice campground in the area. I think he was just commenting how pleased he was that someone in government found a way to find a way around the cuts.

I have driven 101 both ways from San Francisco to way north in Washington state. You should have no problems. I like it better coming south.

RE: North south campground

Facilities:
The park's campsites are heavily wooded and have tables and fireplaces. There are two swimming beaches and two picnic areas, with tables and fireplaces or charcoal grills. Restrooms with showers, a boat launch, boat rentals, firewood sales, a trailer dump station and a recycling center round out the amenities. No electric nor sewer.

RE: Considering an RV Garage

" 30x30x14" with a 12 ft roll up door" may fit your Lance Model 1985 now, but what about a few years down the road. Surely you will upgrade some day.
I got caught...I built a RV port for my Class C only to find that my Class A would not fit.
Better plan ahead. If I could do it over, I would not have built it.

RE: Leveling

First, Welcome to the forum.
It would help to know the year of your Journey. A picture of the valve would be nice also. I don't think that my Journey has a "valve in outside front of coach" to release air.

RE: private camp parks

K/M Resorts are generally nice. I am not really familiar with resales, but with other memberships parks you get a better deal buying a resale. Going to a sales meeting may prohibit you from do a resale for a year.
Make sure ROD is included in your purchase.
We stay at K/M Diamond Point Resort, in Sequim, WA. free with our ROD.

I have not RV'ed in the area, but I hope your travels will take you to the New River Gorge. Awesome scenery. Awesome bridge. In May, the river is roaring and white water rafting is great.
