RE: What Are The Upsides & Downsides To Driving A DRW Truck?

You just need to be careful where you go and park. Saying that I drove mine in some of the streets of Charleston, SC and even parked on the 2nd level of a city parking garage. Just watch the sides.

RE: LITTLE FARM ON THE RIVER RV RESORT (Rising Sun, IN)

We stayed there for a week in July, 2011 and found it to be nice. The people were nice and helpful. We stayed in the upper part but would stay down by the river next time. If you have children, all the activities including pool are in upper part. Lots to do nearby Creation Museum, Cincinnati Zoo and we saw the Reds and Cardinals.

Highway 64 to Manteo

Anyone going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina be advised the bridge just past Columbia is being repaired and will be closed April 8th until April 14th. There are 2 detours available; take hiway 17 north near Williamston and then hiway 158 south, the other is to take a right at Columbia on hiway 94 to highway 264. The first detour adds about 30-45 minutes to the trip and the 2nd one adds around an hour.

RE: savannah area campgrounds

We just stayed a week at Savannah Oaks and found the people very nice and the campground is pretty good with pull-thru sites. Only negative is bathrooms which smelled but looked clean. We checked out Skidaway Park because we had heard so much about it and it was nice but has no sewer hook ups which is a deal killer for us.

RE: Cypress Camping Resort

We have stayed there 2 times and really like the place. Friendliest people you will find and very helpful. No one has mentioned this but they do have a van to take you to the beach but they only pick up in late afternoon. If you enjoy baseball the high school is across the street and we were there last year during the SC American Legion Junior tournament.

RE: Gas price diffence

It is because of the outrageous amount of tax our state has on the gas and diesel. NO OTHER REASON

RE: Zooland..( NC )................etc.

We also miss the old days at Zooland, but like the new Zooland also. We actually met the new owner at Barnyard the weekend before he closed on Zooland and had a nice long talk. So far he has done everything he told us he was going to get done the first year. We are still members of C2C and have a home park membership in Unadilla,Ga.

RE: Cypress Camping Resort - MB

we stayed a week last year and found it to be a very nice place. The Hucks family have this down as it is by far the best run campground we have been to, they run a shuttle bus to the beach and have activities plus things to do on the waterway. A nice pool and concrete patios at every site which are all pull-thru

RE: October thru March in Myrtle Beach Where To Go For Summer

Since you are familiar with Boone,NC, there are some nice campgrounds there. We stay at Flintlock and have reservations for mid Sept to mid Oct, monthly rate is good. I know you can't get reservations for the entire summer now but you might get them for a month. Sam is very helpful and might could find something, trouble is they are closed until March.

RE: I-95 from NC to FL

Good to fuel up in SC as it gets more expensive further south. There's a nice little mom and pop park, a mile off I-75 at Exit 58, McIntosh Lake RV Park. Note, it's the second park on the left. Far enough from the big road so noise isn't a factor. Yet easy off and on. Very reasonable overnight rate. Relatively new unisex bathrooms and showers. Laundry room if you need to do a quick wash. FHUs and cable. Drive safe. McIntosh is a good stopover and is around $20 per night. It is off I-95 at exit 58.
