Another vote for B&D battery locks. Great company and great service!!! Highly recommended here.

RE: Prodigy issues?

When I had this issue it was a wire that had rubbed through in the brake backing plate and was shorting out.

RE: SRW or DRW for Travel Trailer

I have a 2012 3500 SRW GMC load bed and a TT toyhauler that grosses around 11k. It pulls it fine and no stability issues at all! Shocking I know. ;-) No need for a dually for that light of a load. If the truck is also a daily driver I would for sure go SRW. Dually is overkill for the 10k trailer you have. Some guys here though will tell you that you need a MDT for that trailer!!! LOL!!! Scott

Wipe New?

I was watching TV yesterday and a commercial popped on about a product called Wipe New. It looks like it is primarily geared at restoring vinyl and plastic products to like new condition on but have seen a few instances on the web where people have used it for painted car surfaces as well. Although in those instances it looks like you have to be very careful about applying it. The only way I have seen to remove it is with a fine rubbing compound. I got to thinking about how it might work on a fiberglass trailer going over the decals and all. Anyhow I was wondering if anyone here has ever used the product and what their experience was with it? Thanks. Scott

RE: 2 2500 'burbs in our radar....which one would you choose?

I had a 2004 Yukon XL with the 3.73s and the 8.1 and the quad seats. Quad seats were nice. Kids liked them cause they reclined individually and they could sleep in them better that way. I started with a Jayco Jayflight 27bh. Somewhere around 7k loaded I imagine. I never weighted it so just guessing. It towed that trailer with no problem in the mountains or the flats, where ever I needed to go. Then we upgraded to a toy hauler which was close to the towing limit of the Yukon when loaded. It still towed it ok but the transmission temp would start climbing on long up hill pulls. Had plenty of power though. I would go with the 8.1. The 3.73s will be no issue if you are pulling an 6k trailer. Quad seats depend upon your circumstances and how many people you need to seat. The third row seat is fine for kids on a long trip but as an adult not so comfy.

RE: Nu-Finish

I have used it on my trailer from day one. In fact I just did it and do it once a year. Seems to last ok for me. I do put 303 on the decals prior to use and try not to get too much Nu-finish on them as I am told it isn't good for them.

RE: Colorado High Park Fire

It is a heavy beetle kill area. They confirmed yesterday it was a lightning strike that caused it. Not sure how they determined that but they did. Then this comes out today......you have to wonder..... http://www.9news.com/news/article/271994/339/Family-reported-fire-watched-it-smolder-for-hours
