you can purchase a porch light with a plug for a 12 volt round plug.
Our Revolution came with one. It has lights in the slot of the tube.
You uncoil the wire and plug it in the side of the porch light.
Don't know the numbers but a call to Fleetwood parts might et it for you at a good price.
Would love a link to something like that sold online.

Random thought on these lights. Can you adjust brightness with the remote? If so I'm going to break down and finally order some.
I'm not sure if this one does or not. However, I know there are dozens of types of these types of lights now all in this price range. I'm certain that I've seen at least one type that is dimmable.\\
also, one of the reviews says that it came with the ability to dim, but you can't always depend on amazon matching the review up with the product correctly.
The images appear to show a remote that has a dim button.

Wow, thats really cheap..Personally I wouldn't compromise the weather tightness of the porch light, but rather go find power elsewhere and build an extension that you can just plug in when needed. Maybe run a cable from the battery and drop it under the awning rail since that's where the extension to the LEDs would be.
The controller is for the multicolored systems, and obviously that changes connectors from 2 pin to at least 4 (RGB, +gnd).
Btw- that one doesn't appear to have an adheivive backing on it
OK, I'm getting a little closer to understanding.
There are a few reasons I'm interested in using the porch light as a power source.
First, it's got a handy dandy little switch on it that I already use on a nightly basis.
Second, running a power source from the battery does not sound like something I would be very good at doing, tbh.
So, my follow up question at this point would be, is it possible to use the porch light socket to somehow power an led strip light like this? I am not concerned resealing the light housing, as this is something I'm pretty confident in doing.

You can buy LED strip lights in 5m rolls with tape already on them from eBay. There are lots of folks here that have already done this. Just put a connector on the end and build something to plug into 12v. Hobby shops sell excellent DC connectors used for model planes and cars

I have seen the strip lights that people are using for this. They come with a controller, lights, and a remote. Something like this is what I'm thinking....

I imagine I have to wire the power source into the porch light somehow. I'm just not sure how to do that. Is there like a light socket adapter that I can put in place of the light bulb that would allow me to plug the power soruce into it. Or, so I need to 'splice' into the wires that go to the light socket? What type of 'connector' would I need? What would something like that look like?

Wiring strip lights to the outside porch light.
Ok, so after a couple years of camping, the awning lights have become a hassle to put up each time we pull in.
I'm interested in mounting strip led lighting to the side of the trailer under the awning with 3m tape or something, and then wiring it to the porch light, so that I can turn the "awning lights" off an on from the porch light switch.
not being an electrician, Im not sure exactly how to wire this. Any help with the wiring would be greatly appreciated.

Nice little campground, you're kids will love it.
It's a little small, and slightly rustic, but they have made tremendous improvements over the last year or so.
Only negative thing I would say is that when it's rainy, it getts pretty flooded.
Taking my family to Jellystone in Hayes near Williamsburg. Staying about 6 days. Never been before. Does anyone have any info on this place? Are we staying to long there? I have a 10/4/and 1 yr old.
Suggestions are welcome.
For a ten year old you are fine, but,of course, the four year old and one year old will not really care where they are as long as there are things happening around them. Colonial Williamsburg is not the only attraction here - and three days will take you through it without missing anything and giving the ten year old a chance to get involved. As listed in this thread there are a lot of things to interest children in the area - and Jellystone will have activities for children as well.
In Hayes, you are about a half hour or a little longer to Williamsburg across the river so you are going to have a bit of a drive going to any of the attractions mentioned. It is though a good location to head further east on the peninsula to things you will find there and Virginia Beach.

Air and Space museum in Hampton is only a 15 minute drive away. There's a kids museum there too, but I forget the name.
If you like motorsports, langly speedway is one of the best short tracks in the country.
