I'm using a Motorola "MOCAT" CB that is over 30 years old,it Talks.
But in any CB setup it is the antenna that counts.

No problem with chips,I have NO shield and had the dragging rear wind-breaker removed. All I have is the mud flaps behind the tires.No problem.

On my 2011,there is a 4x4 inch electrical box behind the upper left hand corner of the front TV. The TV power cord goes to this box.
But to get to this box,you would have to take the TV down.
I know this,because I replaced the 32" TV with a 37".

Twomed X2 , the 24 SMD warm white led's are on a flat round panel,one sided. I had ordered me 40 from China.You need to clip off about a 1/4 inch off the pins.

You guys are only about 1/2 correct! My signal strength was about 75
on a sunny clear day.On a slightly cloudy day,I got just trash and a picture only for a few seconds. It turned out to be a BAD LNB,replaced it and all is good now,signal is in the upper 80's or better on the small Wineguard roof dome.

IMHO, Your problem was in NO WAY the power strip,the power strip had
build in over-voltage protection,did it save all the devices that were
plugged in?,if so it did a fine job.
The real problem was a power surge,or 220 AC coming in !
Just my professional humble opinion.

I used a piece of 3/8 plywood, a piece of 2x4 to adjust for the slope
and a gizmo to keep it from sliding down off the wheel. It does not push
on the buttons and it looks "dirt ugly"....but with a table cloth over
it , it looks perfect.

I installed a 37" LED LCD "VISIO" just outside of the cabinet,no problem. You will have to figure out your own mounting configuration.
