RE: Who drives a F-350 as their sole vehicle and likes it?

An F350 per my signature has been my daily driver for 15 years, new one every 4-5 years. It's old hat now, approach angle, the bumps that rattle ya a little, etc. Would have it no other way now.

RE: New truck break in period.

We did exactly that when we got ours, per the dealer and manual. It came in from the factory order 2 weeks before heading to Disney, got 550 miles on it and headed out. Just under 30K now with not one problem. Good luck!

RE: Honda EU6500IS 50A service

Believe it's the Honda 6500is being referred to, we have one. It is super quiet, quiter than the 3000is we had and super powerful. We run 2 campers when we dry camp, one off the 30amp plug and one off the 20 amp. I pulled the wheels, legs and handle off to get a lower profile, overhead hoist sets in front of the hitch and it stays there with a custom canvas cover. Nice setup.

Oil bath bearings?

Has anyone ever upgraded their typical grease packed bearings to an oil bath bearing kit? There are a few on the market from a quick search. Who's? How did it work? Any other thoughts?

RE: TrailerSaver TSLB?

We have the TSB 3 and it's a great air hitch too for a little less money.

RE: Montana High Country or Cedar Creek Silverback???

We looked at the Keystone Montana products and the Silverback, our Silverback has been great and a better choice than the Montana. Over 10K miles, 125 days camped in 3 years with no problems.

RE: BFG Goodrich Commercial TA/AS LT 235/85 R16 Recall

Got 4 new XPS Ribs finished up today. Took 2 in yesterday and 2 this AM as I didn't want to take the fiver out of the garage or trust them to jack it up. First dealer gave me the run around on not knowing anything, they would call back, etc. Called them back 2 days later and they put my name on "the list", asked about XPS they said no, have to wait. Called another dealer, spoke w/ them, they called me back 2 hours later and told me they ordered 4 XPS Ribs from the warehouse, 3 days later, all done w/ 4 new XPS Ribs!!

RE: TrailerSaver BD3 vs. Air Safe 20K

PegLW-
Do you guys have the BD3 or the Hensley in your signature? Any problems with the air bags laying over at an angle?

RE: TrailerSaver BD3 vs. Air Safe 20K

We just got the BD3 a week ago +/- and have only towed with it for 67 miles to test it before a month of camping and testing in July. It's amazing, what a difference over a rigid hitch. Small concern with an airbag they hopefully worked out.

RE: Air hitch or air pin box?

Well we decided on the Hensley Trailsaver BD3, we have to drop it in the Ford under the bed plate Hensley has, install it and start using it on the next trip. We'll be camping almost all of July with 500 miles scheduled and will report back. Looks like one heck of a unit!
