Car Dolly

If I were to buy a used dolly what should I be out looking for? Also, do I need a brake controller in the MH like I did when I was towing a TT behind an SUV OR does the wiring that tells my 4-down towed car to brake do the same thing with a dolly braking system?

Where does my tv plug in?

We want to replace the bedroom tv with a flat screen. We took out the drawers to see where it attaches/plugs in. As far as we can tell, there seem to be two wires (power and cable) that run from the tv down, then towards the front of the rv. Is this possible? We can't find a socket anywhere behind or around the tv. If it's right, any suggestions for hooking up the new tv?

RE: Side window sun visor.

We used the pull down shades designed for cars, for little kids.

RE: campground near Manhattan NY?

We're going in July for the third time. There was no issue with the 35' rv and a car on the site. All the sites are the same. Yes, it's a parking lot, but it's safe, handy, and we have had no issues at night there walking to and from the train. There is a nightclub on site, and apparently it can get noisy on Saturday nights. Can't say we noticed any noise.

RE: Is it possible to rent a tow dolly?

Places rent them, but do consider looking on Craigslist. I've seen them for $250 on there before. I looked, found one for under $1000, and not locally. Luckily we're not desperate, but there doesn't seem to be many out there around here. But I do agree, now that I looked at it, that renting isn't worth it.

Is it possible to rent a tow dolly?

We are thinking of taking our "not set up for towing 4 down" car with us this summer, but don't want to buy a dolly. Is it possible to rent them, specifically in the Toronto/Niagara area?

RE: My wife can't decide, Please Help

Booth for sure. But we have kids so like the extra seating for travel. Plus I like the extra storage.

RE: What kind of Florida snake was this

PSA there are no poisonous snakes. There are lots of venomous ones, but no poisonous ones. ;)

RE: Yet another dewinterizing question

So I ran the water for ages. PSA: When camped at a full hookup campground to dewinterize your rv, if only one person does the hookups on arrival, it is a GOOD IDEA to tell your wife "hey, I didn't hook up the sewer", so that when she runs taps for 20 minutes, the tanks don't fill up, back up in your shower, pour out of the shower, all over the bathroom floor, out the door, under the bunks, and run down into the kitchen. Apropos of nothing, our floors are lovely and clean. Luckily it was just the grey water.

RE: Yet another dewinterizing question

There's never antifreeze in the tank, just the pipes. We are hooked up to city water so everything's just going through the pipes.

Yet another dewinterizing question

We have just dewinterized. There is no pink coming out of any taps, but the water still is foamy. Dh says that's just aerated water (?), I say it's still antifreeze. Who's right? If I am, how long do I have to run the taps for? It seems that after a minute it stops foaming, but if I switch off and back on again later, it's foamy again.

RE: Where to hide them

Is there a type she doesn't like? Dh could have dark chocolate sitting right in front of me and I'd never touch it. Decent milk chocolate, on the other hand... Though why you need to hide stuff from your wife is beyond me. And when she finds it (she will), she'll wonder what else you are hiding.

RE: Water at Rally ?

We tow a car AND travel with a full tank of water, and the gas consumption difference is neglible. I'm not sure where your figures come from, you can't base mileage on the 4 miles you have driven so far.
