RE: Transmission Question

Just wanted to leave an update just in case someone else runs into this.
I have made sure to press down firmly on the brake prior to putting into gear. I have had no problems since. I may have been getting lazy and just touching the brake a few times.
Thanks for the input.

RE: Transmission Question

I called technical assistance today. FYI - They said the 3 main reasons for the coach not to move is caused by having the jacks down, the engine rpm's too high, or the break is not being pressed hard enough. Apparently there is a switch that activates the transmission when break is pressed and transmission put in gear.
In my case it most likely is the break switch. It will need to be looked at if it persists after ensuring break is pressed correctly.
Thanks for the advise, everyone. Maybe this thread will help help some else too.

RE: Transmission Question

Sure, it's a Cummins 325 and Allison transmission. It's happened twice, last two times I drove it.
Thanks

Transmission Question

Hi Everyone, I noticed the last two times I drove my coach it didn't move forward at first after pressing on gas pedal. I put the transmission back in park and then drive and all was normal.
I have checked the transmission level and it's fine. I don't see anything in the owners manual that references such action.
I would appreciated any thoughts you may have, thank you.

RE: Why are rv roofs like this

I sealed every seam and around nearly every place that was caulked with eternabond about 5 years ago. Best thing I ever did to the roof, eternabond is a great product and I am amazed that manufactures don't use it.
I just purchased Eternabond and plan to do the same. Sounds like good insurance to me....:)

RE: Holiday Rambler Neptune

Needing to learn which chassis is in the 04 Monaco Diplomat -- it is so pretty that it is the one we hope to purchase.
You can go to Monacocoach.com and click on "Brochure Archive". You will find you year and model in there. I use it often....:)

Awning Shades

Curious if anyone uses an Awning Shade on an electric awning? I have an electric awning and can not slide one of those rubber hangers due to some kind of stabilizing ring around each end of the awning tube.
Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.

RE: ? for the DP guys that run under 5 k a year

We run almost 5k miles per year and have been considering not changing each year. However, I am concerned that may be a problem for the extended warranty?
I look forward to read other thoughts too.

RE: Best 4 down tow convertible

Fifty4F100, congrats on your HR. I hope you enjoy it very much.
Iv'e looked at PT Cruisers and like them but concerned they don't make them anymore. Chrysler stopped in 2010. Mini's definitely quality car and would strongly consider. My wrangler is a great tow vehicle so I probably will keep for a while. It's fun to look at options!
Good luck with your choice.

Best 4 down tow convertible

I tow a Jeep Wrangler 4 down and love it. BUT....sometimes I think it would be really nice to have a convertible when you can hit a button and put the roof up or down. I know sounds lazy and probably is.
Here's the question, any fun convertibles out there than can be towed 4 down with automatic top?
Thanks

RE: Waterless Wash Wax...

Have to agree. I use and love it! Makes cleaning the motor home so much easier and no water. I also use it on my jeep when I get to my destination.
I met some antique car owners who also use the product and love it too...:)

Great comments, thanks for the post's. Always good to get honest feedback, helps keep things in perspective. We plan to keep on fixin (whether its me or the shop depending on job) and enjoy the life style we love so much.
Maybe next time around we will be a little luckier.....:)

RV with the best repair ratings?

I'm curious what thoughts you all have on either a class A, B+, or C make with the best repair rating. (few repairs needed)
I have to say so far I have owned pop up through class A and the only one that never had a problem was my pop up. It's so discouraging to have to repair something so often.
With that said, we love RVing and wouldn't give it up but would love to some day own something that requires less fixing.
Thanks!

RE: redmax pro 3 floor finish

Thank you I see it is the same product as ZEP at Home Depot.
Interesting enough none of the Lowes near me have the Red Max Pro?
Thanks again!

redmax pro 3 floor finish

Does anyone know if redmax pro 3 floor finish is still available anywhere? I tried finding it in Lowes both in a store and online and appears to be unavailable?
I hoped to use it to cover some peeling on my roof edges of MH.
Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
